Anybody realize that this Chevron has now become a SELF-SERVE gas station in Richmond? The staffs would 'purposely' avoid the cars, doesn't matter whether there is a long line-ups or there is only 1 car.

They beep your credit card on the gas pump, right in front of you. Plus they returned the credit card to you within 30 seconds

They don't carry the card in the conveinence store at all.

Isn't it?

Yes they are pretty fast with the card, swipe it and give it back to u immediately.

I would only do self-serve there if i am in a big hurry.

I have pretty good experience from that place. One of the staff kinda helped me to wash the back of my car lor, so surprised!

In the good old days, FULL SERVICE includes cleaning up front & back windshield and checking oil level...

For the old magstripe card, 30 seconds is more than enough to clone the card a few times over.

i don't like "full serve" station....spend too much time there...
and usually more expensive...

anyway...i don't fill up locally any more...

Haven't filled up in Canada for years now and I still prefer self-serve.

If you are living in Richmond and you are having a minivan or so, it may be worthwhile to fillup the gas through the border, providing that you have free time available.

Cause not if they are all inside the car tank. They may charge your gas tank if it goes over $120.

driving to point roberts to fill up full tank of gas usually save $10 or more. (fill up surpreme will save much more than regular).

takes about 45 minutes round trip. It's ok for me

my car only has a 40L tank so it's not really worth the trip ^_^;;;;

also not worth if you fill up regular...the difference is not as much...
and without Nexus I wouldn't do that either...
