Where can I buy it? T&T doesn't carry the one I like any more. Time to find another supplier.

I tried Allegro organic breakfast blend and it's pretty good.

Oh, I recall the tea selling in Hotel Vancouver is very good too.

I just got the Van Cheong H.K. Milk Tea tea bag from T&T. It's a bit too bitter in my opinion.

The taste of the 大排檔特級西冷紅茶 tea bag is pretty close to hk milk tea.

I made a 250ml cup with two tea bags.

I like to make my tea with Jacky Yip's tea leaf. He is a whole saler of HK style tea leaf to local cafe. Otherwise, I will use Tetley tea bags.

A friendly note, I was not referring to the instant 3 in 1 / 2 in 1 kind. I have tried many many kinds of instant ones and found none that I was truly satisfied with.

On a side note, I found that Alleluia Cafe on Westminster Hwy has the most authentic milk tea. Their "hot" version that is. I can't say the same for their cold version.

I do it the lazy way:
1) Let 2 tea bags sit in a 200-250ml cup of hot water for a few mins
2) Microwave it for 30 secs
3) Add 40ml of evaporated milk and sugar/sweetener

Yes haha I do mean evaporated milk. Sometimes I put a little bit of condensed milk if there is some in the fridge. Makes it thicker.

I happened to have this super good milk tea in HK, and they used the black and white milk.
I guess it's similar to 三花? The tea leaf is the key.

Not sure how big it is but it is one size up from a tea spoon. Cup is 250ml.

8 Tablespoonful = 1/2 cup = 125 ml
sounds too much for a cup of milk tea.

Most tea barista for Cha Chan Tang use 1 tin of Carnation milk for 5-6 cups of tea
that is 60-80 ml per cup

fine ground for colour and coarse ground for flavor.

It is personal preference, I usually do 3 parts coarse ground to 1 part of fine ground.
Then I add some toasted coconut for a mysterious touch, and some egg shells for richness.
Yes the tea leaves can be found locally.
