Just received an e-mail from the head office about the hotel confirmation.

So I'm flying over to Montreal at end of May and stay there for training and meeting for two weeks.

Since the hotel that I'm staying is in downtown Montreal and I don't want to eat white food everyday.

Any good Asian food in Montreal or anything to do in Montreal??

I never been to Montreal before...

there are some chinese-styled restaurants in Montreal...
there's actually a chinatown (2 streets) close to city-centre

I had some OK chinese dinner there before...it was a restaurant on the 2nd level
i forgot the name tho...but yeah...chinese food in montreal isn't exactly cheap

Lik,

How about French food? Any good restaurant that not toooo high end?

I looked at some website about Montreal, it seems their night life is very famous... make me so itchy that want to go clubbing there...
but..... too bad, I'm flying there alone... (not sure if people from my company will be interested)...... or else I really want to try bar hub everywhere in Montreal

How about the transit system there?
I don't want to cab all the time....

Utopia,

You can find more info about the transist in downtown Montreal in the following link:
http://www.stm.info/English/a-somm.htm,

a map about the transit stations in downtown Montreal.
http://www.stm.info/English/metro/a-mapmet.htm

and another transist map for the Greater Montreal
http://www.amt.qc.ca/tc/tarifs/pdf/Systarifaire_2008.pdf

As you see in the above pdf file, the ticket you buy from STM is valid in the pink region and downtown Montreal. However, the monthly pass (or other types of tickets) issued by the STM is NOT valid in other regions of the Greater Montreal, which means that if you need to go to Longueuil (which is in the region of RTL), you need to buy an extra ticket from RTL.

I am going to Toronto and Montreal the end of May too.  We planned to rent a car in Toronto.  Any suggestion of the car rental company?
