今日食完lunch同女友去睇車
去到 openroad 呢個大家庭
首先去 Toyota 睇 Rav4  同 Matrix
個 sales 好 pro ,好熟我地架舊 Rav4 同新 Rav4 既分別

之後再去睇 Honda
入到去見唔到有 08 Accord 都覺得奇怪
點解得架07 accord 仲要 demo
再行行企企一陣都無人理

走去同個應該係 sales manager 既人講我想睇 08 Accord
即刻點個坐佢隔離個西人 sales 俾我
我同佢講我想睇「08 Accord ,直四,Ex 或者 EXL」
以為佢會覺得我有誠意啦,我都唔係去 walk around
載我走過去睇 catalog,對住本野讀個 spec 出黎
ok....跟住問我仲有無野想睇
我話我好想睇真車,特別係個內籠

終於帶我去 parking lot 行下
走過去架 V6 EXL 話「個內籠就係咁,仲想睇乜野」
我再講「我好想你開門俾我睇下個內籠,我想坐上去」
佢話度門 lock 左 ,我都知「山係石頭,海係水」
跟住佢再講「sorry ,原來呢架唔係我地車行車,係人地既車」
算啦,我都係想睇車,無謂同佢嘈

帶我去隔離架 直四,EX 度睇
又再講「個內籠就係咁架啦」
又再問我「仲有乜需要」
我諗我個需要佢都滿足唔到我
禮貌上講句 thank you 我都轉身走

我響 Calgary 去睇車從來未試過咁既 sales
係咪 OpenRoad D 人真係咁架?
有無邊間 Honda 個態度無咁樣?

Open Road is a company that really cares about service.  So if you want to, you can file a complaint and i bet the sales and the dealership will get into trouble.  But whether u want to do it now is up to u...

I told the sales person couple of times that I seriously wanted to see the interior of the car. *sigh*

Accord 都唔想俾我睇,激心。

我同屋企人上個星期先係Middlegate Honda到出咗部Odyssey。
我覺得佢哋個服務態度好好呀!解釋得好好!
就算我地出咗車之後,有咩問題打電話或親自開部車過去,佢地都好樂意幫我哋同教我地點用。

不過我就覺得Richmond Automall嘅Honda就嘛嘛啦!
問佢嘢,佢嘜都唔知。整係識得叫我自己睇本brochure。
總之佢哋個服務態度冇Middlegate Honda甘好啦!

May be they sold out the new Accord? and only have few customers' cars/or sold unit there? (it took few weeks for my friend to get her accord, as they are mostly sold out!)

At least, the sale didnt' say dont want to do busy with you, and he did try to show you the car ar ..  

Calgary ?  when were you in Calgary?  It is diff mah ..  in Van ..  selling car may be a good job with good pay .. but in Calgary ..  selling car is a low pay job, so need to work harder law ..  lol

few years ago, my friend went to Richmond Honda to check out the civic, when she asked question about the base model, the salesman gave her the 'look' and said that model is only for pizza delivery or cargo transport.......

I just moved from cowtown for a while. Maybe you are right that the sales people needed to work harder in Calgary, not like here.

But dang, I forgot to take his card.

I don't like browsing cars in Richmond and some Vancouver dealers...

When I walk in a dealership and I'm not approached by a salesman in 5 minutes, I'll just leave!  They don't care about your biz, why buy from them?  There are many other choices.

When he asked "what else do you want to see?", you should answer "i really want to see better service, but I think I can only get it other than Honda!"

I think it is a matter of "location" and the "salesman". You see, Auto Mall is a vey busy place and the salesman works for "MONEY". Car salesman has hardly any motivation or job satisification other than "MONEY". The time they serve you is the opportunity cost they serve others.  If they think you are not the potential customer, they will try their best to get rid of you the quickiest. Of course, the smart salesman will use a polite way to shuffle your Axx. One Honda salesman told me, becasue Honda sells itself, their commision per new car is 100+ some dollars. That is not a decent pay. What do you expect how they treat their customer.  Much worst for a non-perspective customer.

So, ususlly I tend NOT to go to Auto Mall to shop car becasue those salesman have plenty of other opportunities to make sales. You won't get good service. Of the 6 times I went to shop car in Auto Mall, I got good services 2 times. Believe me or not Honda and Toyota. On both ocassion, both salesmen are "GREEN", new guys are more willing to serve.

The funniest time I went to Auto Mall Mercedes back in the 90's when their business was blooming of new Honeg Kong immigriant market, After I test drove and everything, I asked the salesman what is the lease and finance rate. I saw his face grew longer suddenly and he leaned backward on his chair and showed his fat axx belly. He said "we don't do lease or financing much, our customers is so loyal that they just put down deposit half year in advance and wait for their car". We were speechless. He get rid of us in no time. Now, you go to any Mercedes, I gurantee you will get good service because business is not there anymore.

My point is" goto dealer that is less traffic and delaer that value your business.

I got a respond from the general manager. He said he would take a look of this incident.

I know it's not going to change anything but at least he sounds like he's going to do something.

直到今時今日,我未入過OPENROAD TOYOTA 一步。

So inch wor! Then I think of  two ways to play with them:
Option 1: I will ask: "I really want to buy a car, but if I really don't feel satisfy, can I get the deposit back?" If they say yes, I will go try out all their models and say I don't feel like any of them and take the money back. "You blow"?
Option 2: I will ask: "Oh, if you have no confidence that your product is going to satisfy me, why are you working here?" And go away!

You went there on Sunday! I experienced the same thing before. Honda, toyota & nissan, the sales there are all ahole.

當我仲猶疑緊當我架06 Mx5 lease 完左要換乜車個陣
個陣我首選依然係 Mx5 PRHT, 我知道08年最大既分別係張凳可以高低 adjustment.
因為本身都有架 06   希望個 PRHT + seat adjustment 可以比足夠理由我去 upgrade.
PRHT 個陣係好搶手所以想早D去 Dealer 都睇岩再落訂等我lease一完就可以有車

當時只有 automall 個間 mazda 最早有 08   去到見到個西人 sales 態度都已經唔友善
個口仲含住舊香口膠 我問有冇 08 年 Mx5 ,拒就話係後面個 lot 喥有 甘我就話我想睇
由其時係個 Interior. 開頭都好地地 我就一直行一路同拒講我既 situation 我架 06 就夠期
我想到時換部 PRHT 最想睇埋張高低調較凳.條友即刻停落黎話架車冇任何野改過
仲問我你仲睇唔夠你自己個架咩。我話我樣睇張凳 拒就話冇分別 死都唔肯帶我去睇
我地當時以經行到差唔都係building後門 拒都唔 show 埋比我睇。

At that time there was a car still in the building process, so we had the deposit on
that car. We changed our mind two weeks after we had the deposit down, told the
sales we want to cancel the order and take our deposit back. Almost 2 months of
waiting, the sales still came up with different reason why the process took so long.
and told us the car already arrived. bla bla bla.
We take the car after. haha. Maybe thats their strategy.

其實又要睇份買車合約點寫.
如果唔係車行履行唔到合約內容,
只係個客單方面要取消, 咁可以算係撻定喎.

Finally, | went to the Honda dealter on marine drive. The service was completely different.

I went there at 4:15pm on Sunday (again). I know this is a ****ty time and most sales won't even care about you. Anyway, the sales was extremely nice. He tried to answer all the questions I had, thou some specific answer could not answer me right away. Surprisely, he also let me to test drive the new Accord. After test driving, it's 5pm already. I felt pretty bad about it but he still kept saying no problems.

Overall speaking, the service is very good.

My family bought a '07 Accord from Middlegate Honda a year ago, we got to test drive it and service was pretty good. We had problems with the car recently and my dad brought it back there and service was still good... I had no complaints.

I visit the Middlegate Honda before and it was very good, and my friend bough a car from them,good served, good prine.. however after it become "Openroad" I'm not sure. I been the Openroad Toyota and not being served at all (thus I don't like salesman following me around anyway).

The Richmond Honda.. it's horrible. I heard lot of stories about them before. Personally, long time ago I'm interested in a 2 yrs used car there. I look at the sticker price and try bargain as it's overprice compare with the "yellow book" (not black book), as most other place mark their price matching the dealer price in yellow book. However he insist it's not overpriced, and showing me his book. I did research before so I feel something wrong, then I find out his book is one year old hence show the price of car one year newer then it should. I point that out then he got mad....
