i'm really exhausted on paying 100 each month
for TV + internet(stupid tech made fairchild to be standalone)

how are you guy's bill? how to get a good promotion in shaw?
i ask ppl on the net, they said they have nothing to do with my bill wor
and they havent take a look...and say THERE IS NOTHIGN I CAN DO.....****

i'm curious on your guys's bill to see what i can do....thx

I'm paying $100 for internet and TV too...
TV package I have up to channel 59 + the Chinese channels.
internet is the high speed one.

I have considered switching but then I have to pay extra $xxx to get a few of the receivers lor...So I give up...

total current charges...............total is $100
anything i can do...or something wrong with this bill?

check telus, tel+internet+tv(up to 2 receiver)+chinese channal =$120, i am thinking switch to telus from shaw, seems a good deal

purchased  modem discount

My price including tax is also about $100+. I noticed that they raise their prices on the entertainment bundle and high speed internet once in a while.

getting cable up to channel 59 will cost you $55 alone..

I just signed up with Shaw so I am getting:

Fairchild + Channels up to 28 = $40
Internet = $39.95
Phone = $20.95

Plus each digital box will cost you a system access fee of $1.99/month

so...a bit over $100 a month

they will only give you discounts if you haven't been their customer for over 90 days...
and if you get all three services (phone, internet, tv), they give you additional discounts

The same as your package, but I noticed that I also get a few digital channels included. They keep raising the package prices. Sometimes I think if I could have received some sort of discount that they didn't tell me about.

I have a entertainment bundle call "Basic Fairchild Talent High-Speed Internet" for $65.95, after tax it came to $71.42.

I have Basic Cable up to ch28 + fairchild + city + some other digital ch and Internet.

But 2 yrs ago this package only cost $57.95 and after tax it's about $63. Shaw have been increasing their price twice in the past 2 yrs.

ai.......i'm thinking about the full cable farichild - Tier 1 and 2 and 3, channel 2 to 58(but no internet)
saw in other forum only 57.xx but the price is in year 2006

Hi everyone,

I found out my shaw cable is too much expensive. I have internet and chinese tv. Before I think around $60. last month I discover that it increase to more than $80. (Usually I paid pre authorized, so I didn't aware they increase a lot. )

Then I call customer service why the bill is so high and then they are so mean and said because of the old increase. I said why oil increase influence shaw cable? They explained they have to pay extra money for the technical support to maintained my service. I said I don't need any technical supporty. And then they said they can't do anything.


Then I call account department. I told them I want to cut the service. They asked me why. I said it is too much for me now. I have no money to continue the service.

YOu know what they offered me a 9 months old cut I forgot how much , but now I only paid around $60 per month . Then I go back to 2 year's price. So do call them and pretend you want to cut their service and they will cut your price.

Same case for my family too. The price just suddenly increased in our bill. I guess I should give them a call.

I heard Bell is even worst, they always bill you incorectly and take long long time and phone calls to correct. I have 3 TVs, so I am stuck with Shaw. Besides, all the receiver I invested....

I used to have 60 channels with shaw but since they raise the price, I changed to the basic with only 30 channels. I told them because they raise the price too often, I'm downgrading as a protest.

No, I don't think there is a whole not difference in price. I may be wrong because there are always promotions among different competitions. But as far as I can tell, these promotions are not true saving. They just trap you to sign up and charge you the "regualr price" after several months. You can' go away because you have invest so much on the set top boxes.

You have basically 4 choices. Shaw, Bell ExpressVu, Telus TV, Starchoice. Telus TV is not mature enough to be considered. Shaw owns Starchoice. Price for Shaw and ExpressVu are closely matched.

it was $66 3 years ago
the it increases bit by bit for the consecutive 3 years
and up until now, it became $76

How the heck u get billed $100?

that bundle only includes fairchild tv + channels up to 28...and internet

if you want i-xtreme internet, that's another $10
if you want more channels (up to 59), it's about another $20

Check telus website,
They have good bundles, wth TV + Phone + internet for around 100 dollars
However, I have checked both the tv service are not available for my own home and my parents' home.
We both live in Richmond, so I don't know where else its service is available.
you just need to enter your phone number to check if the service available to your place.

yes, their bundles are cheaper (you get 15% discount for bundles)...BUT, Telus has become quite strict on their internet usage...they only allow 60GB per month. if you pass that, they usually warn you or ban you for an entire week!

shaw also has bundle prices if you also get their home phone...for my bundle for TV, internet and phone is about $104 /month

i just have no idea
the tech bill the wrong entertainment bundle...
fairchild is standalone, not even in the bundle too....
