Today, I went to Metrotown to have lunch. When I return to my car, I found that was messy,all the stuff was on the seat. I know that the alarm is on,windows and lock is fine. I lost a NDS and a sunglasses. Do I need to report?

Are you sure that's all you lost? Do you still have your vehicle registration? I heard thieves use it to steal identity. They can simply copy down your vital info and you wouldn't know until they make some big purchase with a new credit card issued under your name. So I'd say definitely report it for your protection.

YES IT SHOULD BE REPORTED IMMEDIATELY, They can do a lot with your VIN#

如果架車冇損傷，報警就可以。要claim 先報icbc。

我想講一講我自已既做法。。。但唔知係咪合法架。。。
我無將 original insurance paper 放係車。。我放張 copy...而且張 copy 係 removed 左我個 address 既。
如果有人 break-in, 就算佢有  車房 control, 都無地址﹐ , 除非佢有內鬼係 I ICBC 做 check 倒我 information 咁就無得講。
如果 police 查車﹐我咪同佢講因為呢個       reason 所以係 copy 囉。
我諗佢明既。我又唔係無          insurnace, 佢打番台都  check 倒我啦。
any comments ?

I dont know if it has to be original, you have to ask ICBC. Why not just carry in your purse/wallet though.

My ICBC agent used to photocopy a blank address one for me to keep in car. But they changed the rules and you need the original in the car.

Sorry I am a bit dumb but what can they do with your VIN ??

and low_B where in metrotown did you park? I'll try to avoid parking there next time I go to metrotown
