anybody know do I need to pay this ticket with a wrong violation date?

SPEED KILLS!!!  please respect other people on the road...

wrong date then the ticket is garbage...go to court and prove you're doing something else on that date

I am not saying that I was right on speeding, but I don't see ppl drive slowly will respect other ppl on the road. I saw lot of accident when ppl drive slowly, only ppl racing on the street will kill. thank for your answer!

Drunk driving kills when accidents still happen for non-alcoholic reason.  and what's your point for "accidents happen when people drive slow"?

you dont have to pay for it then.

You still have to go to court to fight it.  If you do not, I think you assume the ticket is true.

fast doesn't mean dangerous and slow doesn't mean safe.

"fast" has higher chance of causing accidence. "slow" can also cause accidence (i.e. forgot to do shoulder check), but it cannot be used to justify being "fast".

it all just depends on the driver.

fast not equal dangerous?  give me a break la if you want to argue about this...say this to RCMP and they'll tell you lots of stories!  Even world champ Senna (F1 driver) died hitting a wall at 300+ km/h...

Fast IS dangerous, more so if the driver is inexperience!  The chances of getting into a FATAL accident is much higher...the problem is that people don't know how bad their car's brakes are until they hit 140+ km/h....try to stop from 140+ to a dead stop and see how far you slide....  The driver is only one of the many factors that can cause an accident

lets put it this way...too fast is not good....too slow is not good either...so just stay at the speed limit

Exactly...but of course, don't be too fast on the street though...no matter what kind of accident have happened, it makes you loss money...which is not too good...at least for me...

"Know your limit, play within it"...the experience and skill of the driver is very important too.

To the top question. you have to fight for it in the court, otherwise, that ticket should be valid... since they have it in their computer record...

ot~
this is sooooo true
I got into an accident two weeks ago (100% other party's fault) cause I was driving too slow (30-40kmph) if I was going at least 50 then it wouldn't have happened!
But that doesn't mean I encourage speeding. We should just.. drive at the right speed

drive with sense and reason wrt traffic volume and traffic flow around you. Those who blindly believe in the speed limit without consideration for the dynamically changing environments around are ignorant at best, let alone being good drivers or respectful drivers.

speed limit are designed to penalize and profit, safety is merely a convenient bi-product...... it probably safer to set the speed limit at a speed closer to what drivers drive in reality than forcing a certain people amount of 'blind' ppl to drive much slower than the average traffic flow. drivers that drive significantly faster than average traffic are a source of danger, so are the ones that are significantly slower tho (encourages passing, road rage). Those who slows n stay on the left should be shot.....

if you drive fast in a way that violates the limits and consider options other than paying the violation, where's should I squeeze out my respect?

Let me ask you a simple question...if you increase the chance of death on the road, is that respect to others?

Btw, my definition "speeding" is going significantly faster than the flow of traffic or the weather condition permits, not the speed limit.  The number of accidents doesn't mean anything, either your argument is drive faster doesn't yield more accidents or drive slower yields more accidents.  It's the fatality that counts.  I don't believe drive slow yields more fatal accidents than drive fast.

tho drive slow and went into accident they just not reported, also claim for hit and run.  do u thing this is respect ?

There is noone would like to increase the chance of death, only the fool does.  what do u mean increase the chance of death on the road, go on the road is already increase the chance of death, so why don't u stay away from the road, that will so respect to the others.   But I don't really think that I will increase the chance of death when I drive to work for the past years.  what a simple question!

a simple statement is that
you attempt for asking opinions about options beside paying your fine.

That is just as irresponsible as a hit and run incident you raised

"tho drive slow and went into accident they just not reported, also claim for hit and run.  do u thing this is respect ?"
Don't get what you want to say...we're not talking about hit and run and it has nothing to do with speeding...totally separate issue

"But I don't really think that I will increase the chance of death when I drive to work for the past years. "
You don't think doesn't mean it's not there or not true.  If you keep speeding everyday, I'm sure someday something will happen.  There's a risk involved in everything, different is just large or small.  According to your logic, you can walk on the pedestrian crossing and a speeding car can run over you, so you shouldn't walk on the street at all.   That's just stupid!   Your point doesn't make any sense  to me at all.

driving too slow is also illegal and police can still pull you over and fine you..

Go back to the point, wrong violation date on a speeding ticket...
Doesn't matter wrong violation date or not, you were really over speed limit
You just want to escape from the liability of paying fine
Even the police did made a wrong violation date, it doesn't mean you didn't against the law nor went over speed limit.

If you think you don't think going over speed limit is wrong, you should not stay in Canada.  It's because according to Canadian law, it is wrong!  Go to live another country that fits you!

Under Ontario Provincial Offence Act, wrong violation date is a fatal error, that will get the tickets cancelled, my question is for tho who know about BC Provincial Offence Act to answer my question, I don't need any of tho ppl tell me something about speed kill or increase chance of death or escape from the liability of paying fine or live another country that fits you. all blow ****s. If you don't know any of BC Provincial Offence Act, just don't reply.
Please respect yourself !

if you know the law so well
if you can identify all this "bs" what's your point for posting the thread?
