We should not eat these raw beef.

Tried it as well, not bad; but I prefer them cooking it for me instead of me cooking it myself.

If I have to cook myself, mind as well eat at home.

Chinese style steak is pretty good these days.

Too expensive.
It does not have any beef taste, it just as like you are chewing something.
No matter it is raw or well done, it does not taste like beef.
The sauce is NG. Don't waste money.

lol, what? i thought beef would be one of the safest thing to eat half cooked (well, i wouldn't recommend eating it entirely raw as well, of course!)

I guess sometimes, it is alright, but compared to western steak houses... it is still far from it! but of course, you have to take into consideration that most chinese restaurants that does offer steak is not specialized in it, so really, you don't expect it to be one of the best stuff anyways!

how is this different than Stonegrill?!

i think it was like $23ish bucks??? around that range lor. chinese style steaks these days improved drastically... at least they learn not to marinade it to make it more tender...& instead get better quality of meat.

i'm not sure how safe the meat is at these chinese restaurants....i usually eat rare...but at chinese style of western food, i will cook it until at least medium rare just to be on the safe side.

if you ask me if there's anything so special to the taste? i would say no.... but it's definitely worth it compared to steak @ sammy j/cactus/keg....in terms of price VS quality.

well, what i meant was eating those steak entirely raw in chinese restaurants. it wouldn't taste good eating entire steak raw anyways (if you could somehow eat it)

those japanese beef sashimi of course is ok la, but hell, in a japanese restaurant, almost everything is raw ga la, haha.

because even if there was 血水, i think they would wipe it down before taking it out public. besides, you won't see the 血水 unless you see the container that it's put in just before it was drained & transferred onto the stone -_-"

u believe wt u believe then

derek:

it's not what i believe in....
the fact is... you HAVE to believe in what you see served to you when you eat out.... if alot of people really sees what's going on in the kitchen, i'm sure alot of restaurants will close down their business.

so just pretend everything's fresh & hygenic.... UNTIL you get a tummy ache afterwards

We had been to Boston quite a few times for last few mths, generally is Ok. The steak sometimes is on the tough side.
None the less I gave her a good pass.

Is good to cut people some slack anyways.

The quality at Boston is usually higher when the boss is around.

I really have high hope for this restaurants, but the last few times there had disappointed me.

btw, have they changed the cups yet?  They looked so old and dirty last time when I was there.

I went there and had the "日本長尾和牛" last nite. I asked the boss which part of Japan did the "日本長尾和牛" come from, he thought of two seconds and answered "Osaka". I searched and searched on the web, there is no such cow named like this in Osaka Japan at all.
Regardless of the true type/name of the meat, the price of the meal is fairly acceptable. The meat hasn't been "treated" (as most Chinese-Western restaurants will do), and it's reasonably flesh, yet it's a little "tasteless" (not much beef taste). The outlook and texture of the meat was just like something I can buy in Safeway or Superstore-- boneless prime rib. Another thing needs to be mentioned, their service is pretty nice and sincere though, hehehe... !

I wonder what kind of beef you tasted in Japan wor? I've tasted from as cheap as a few hundreds to a thousand yen (Pepper Lunch), to almost the most expensive x0,000 yen Kobe beef, of course their texture were different and they tasted different too, but they all tasted so "beef" and good wor.

Compare Japanese beef to North American beef, North American beef have a heavier beef taste compare to Japanese beef.

Then I think it's up to personal taste la. It's like "my gf is prettier or your gf is prettier", that I definitely won't argue with you, haha...!
However, I really can't find any information of this particular "日本長尾和牛肉眼扒" on the web. Can any LYK provide true information please?? I'm really interested in knowing it. Hehe...
