We are looking for graphic designer. Know about Photoshop 2, AI, Coredraw, Flash8 and some basic computer knowledge.

I dont see any problem with that. There are still lots of ppl willing to do it for free.
we have members from highschool too.

My friend working in Chinese operated travel agent paying $10 for flyer/ad designer ja....
Well... you get what you paid, of course..... This is fair trade era.

not a completely stereotyping chinese employers.....BUT, seriously some asian employers are so CHEAP
nothing wrong with that?! well, workers that don't value their skills fairly & accordingly should quit complaining gas soars & expensive cost of living.

This is exactly the reason why the Chinese ads sucks! The business owners always paying the least amount of money possible just enough to get some promotion out. Quality of work? Most of them only THINK or BELIEVE they know how to judge quality and effectiveness of a good ad.

Junior price for junior quality. There may be talented juniors once in a while to produce good stuff at $11/hr, but how often do you get that? Bottom line is, quality is just a bonus for them. Your brand is what you're willing to pay to build for. That's the difference between small-timer business VS business that grows into an empire.

$11/hr for a graphic designer = Your Company's Image only worth $11/hr
that's $1 more than a part time job (Look at other threads), that's what you're telling consumers about your business, you're only slightly better than amateurs.

Man ... just went to Super Store .. they are hiring .. $16.5/hr - $17.5/hr wor .. ( nite shift )

Even day shift .. $12.5-$14/hr ...

professional 呢個字根本可圈可點.
大把人學過下D所謂既Adobe program 就係呢行打滾啦. 大學D乜乜同學會D poster 好多時都有寫 design by xxxxx.
咁佢地算 pro 先 ? 有時D人想有個機會囉下經驗,錢只不過係次要. 我公司有位同事見工時話冇錢都想做. 最後佢不知

as I said, thats depends on what kinds of people they are looking for
some morons just want to give the student salary level but hoping for a guy who has at least 2 years of full-time exp.
Sadly, it is very common in our society

Sad thing is, these kind of bad employers drag down the whole market price. Even mainstream designers for smaller firms don't get offers above $17/hr these days.
