我都有成半年無黎﹐除左某D私人原因外﹐最主要是感覺討論並不中性﹐很多人喜歡人身攻擊﹐缺乏包容及和氣﹐氣氛不好﹐而且欠缺話題﹐很多人比較喜歡回帖﹐多於自己發新帖 (也許是因為惡性循環﹐開新帖曾經給人攻擊過﹐只好做 CD rom﹐多說多錯﹐少說少錯﹐不說不錯﹐漸漸人人都不想出聲﹐費事影響心情﹐寧願買定包花生看別人的戲)

Think more long term man, this crap have being going down for years.

I don't think there is any other LYK historian anymore, so here is my version.

Four/Five years ago LYK was mentioned in the chinese media and it got really popular from that. At that time a small group of dedicated LYK was fairly active, so they merrily created content to share on this forum, and others reposted stuff in the face of all this new attention.

It was all good until the Internet came and Admin and company didn't know how to handle it. Instead of prodding arguments into the right direction, the mods tried to END ARGUMENT which is simply retarded. And so the downfall of LYK.

The audience are mostly seniors, so they don't like how young people would aimlessly piss each other off, and so there goes the read-only part of the membership. And since the attention is gone, the creative types in LYK felt no one cares about them anymore so they left too.

Right now, the LYK active population is about the same as it was before it got mentioned in the greater media. So it is returning to original state of being a friendly and peaceful forum. That is, with out any "serious" mods again

That could had been a typo for "stuff it" but just for you it is a swear word ;)
Regardless, that is paradoxical and senseless statement I made, as it is difficult to post and not post at the same time. So I've mis-phrased myself--a common mistake of mine.

What I propose is stop being all depressed talking about how bad things are, and start thinking and observing about things to post about. We are an enlightened group after all!

I guess it is natural for people to shun those who uses vulgar language as it is a sign of a low and unrefined person, but what if we are in reality a low and unrefined people? I dare not make that charge but I digress. Now, lets post some crap!

I don't think it is a matter of facility... Like a bad restaurant that renovated but the boss and staff is the same, the people have lost faith in them and the only way to revive the location is with a completely new party.

Have you guys looked at my604? And than looked at LYK? Like what is with the Cantons?

Nonsense. How many labeled as "destructive and non-friendly members" had gone or being CD Rom? Now only the majority of "constructive and peaceful members" still remain, but how "constructive" here it is? Face the fact, those "destructive and non-friendly members" ain't really as negative as others described and labeled. Actually they're the ones who were being constructive and brought traffic.

But well, admin only needs a "peaceful" (leads to quiet) forum; not a forum full of traffic.

u misunderstood me
I dont agree with what had Hyde said too, I just didnt say it out loud. But as u can see, if she said something that got "points", many people will support her. However, I, and some of other ex-lyk members who quitted, really disagree with some of her previous posts and we just said it out loud. And then she got pissed LOL

I used to come very often when Traum, Alcoholic and utopia come a lot too. I like to read when people are arguing different point of view.

When I came back from Taiwan, something happened and none of them comes anymore. I think that something is the turning point of this forum.

Because different points of view
= disagreements
= alot of people can't accept the fact that not all people agree with their views
= alot of people grew up in a reality greenhouse, thus cannot take minor personal comments (aka "attacks")
= the so call "arguments/flames on LYK"

the forum is dying which is nothing new. The bad thing is when they did the server transfer all of our old data was erased. BUT THE WORSE IS I see no promotion of this site (eg. like some interesting and constructive discussion from our MODS) .

I guess the mods have to back into gear to keep this forum alive again.

When I browsing at LYK, i don't know how to go Discussion zone sometime. It's very confusing and not friendly.. At first, I think some zones about cell phone, shopping all gone..

Be honest, as a member browsing here want to get some news and updated info. I don't care you guys argue or not. LYK becomes a very quiet zone.. I don't come here often now.. I like that old LYK home page personally. I can read whatever I want just one click.. more convenience.

純屬個人意見:

少人上來, 主因是早前的氣氛唔好, 高登化, 趕走晒D好老友記.

其次是曾有一段時間經常改LAYOUT, 剛習慣了, 又改; 剛以為發了若干帖量, 到了若干"身分", 有一些成就感, 又一Q清袋, 從新再計過.

還有, 老友記全盛時期, FACEBOOK尚未興起, 如今人人FACEBOOK, 到這裏的時間又減少了, 所以人氣滑落, 大可歸咎上述幾點.
