名校刁鑽小一面試題網上熱傳「clinic與hospital分別？」「給你1萬元會買什麼？」

【明報專訊】入讀明年小一的報名季節展開，33所私立或直資名校的面試試題疑於網上曝光，個別名校除要求面試以廣東話、英文及普通話三語答題外，部分試題對於年僅5歲的幼稚園高班學生來說相當刁鑽，如需以英語回答「診所（clinic）與醫院（hospital）有何分別？」、「如果給你1萬元，你會買什麼？」等。有名校證實部分試題屬實。有校長表示題目艱深，「我都未必獲取錄」；家校會主席黃寶財直言標準問題及答案的操練愈多，子女愈易緊張及不懂應變，弄巧反拙。

聖保羅校長﹕部分試題屬實

逾4萬名學童為爭入心儀學校備戰，網上討論區近日流傳「09升小一全新版本面試試題」，涵蓋33間直資及私小，包括競爭激烈的傳統名校拔萃男書院附屬小學、聖保羅男女中學附屬小學、聖保羅書院小學、拔萃女小學、聖士提反書院附屬小學等，部分題目艱深，如「If I give you $10000, what will you buy?」、「請用普通話唱出一首兒歌」（見圖）。

聖保羅書院小學校長陳陳慕珍聞悉有家長「掌握」學校面試題目後，表現得有點驚愕，並指部分試題屬實。她說，校方面試時會就考生反應提問及討論，沒有一套指定題目，也不會發問學生未經歷過的事物，學生毋須背誦標準答案。陳太指校方以往均是打開門面試，估計有家長結合了歷屆題目，整理為最新版本。

懂得答案非取錄關鍵

有校長提醒家長勿刻意訓練子女，令小朋友徒添壓力。香港華人基督教聯會真道書院校長丘日謙得知部分流傳題目時笑說﹕「嘩！咁難，如果你或者我去面試，都未必獲校方取錄。」丘指自己沒有特定面試題目，只會與小朋友聊天，「學生獲取錄與否不在於是否懂得答案，最重要是小朋友夠真」。

香港培正小學校長李仕浣說，校方面試題目每年不同，今年題目未落實，網上流傳的試題是誤導家長，散佈者的做法值得商榷。李強調，校方向家長表明毋須刻意訓練子女，只會考核他們跟陌生人說話時的舉止談吐。

拔萃男書院附屬小學校長羅錦麗亦指出，校方重視學童自然流露的一面。直資學校議會主席林建華稱，一般學校多會向小朋友提問基本常識，家長預早做妥應對訓練無可厚非，但不能「死操爛操」。

家校會主席黃寶財說﹕「家長愈刻意訓練，小朋友愈容易『撞板』」。他表示，校方稍為更改字眼發問，小朋友便會慌失失而不懂應對，呼籲家長從日常生活中與孩子一起閱讀及討論才是上策。

家長梁小姐看過題目後大呼恐怖，「一個5歲的小朋友怎會識答？」她指女兒去年到多間學校面試，曾被問香港有多少條過海隧道，女兒當然不懂答，梁小姐期望校方提問具創意的題目。

my sister's son was interview a few months ago....

they asked him, where is the tv suppose to locate and he answered, living room, my bedroom, dining room, kitchen and washroom......... the teacher ask why would kitchen and washroom have tv, he answer, my house have it

I guess since the schools are being mean, the children can be as rude as they want...
the competitive environment in hk is just bad for children...

This is not only in HK...it's slowing coming to Vancouver too...

It's very difficult to get in some private schools here....

Whoever can answer those questions during the interview is above average already and no wonder he/she can get good marks!

Most Kitchen/bedrooms and Washroom have TV nowaday la... just depends on size .. lol

Oh wait .. if in HK .. you may not want to have TV in kitchen .. guess what ... your "ban ban" will watch TV all day long, instead of cooking in the kitchen ... lol

Private school is so pricey ... $150K plus a yr ? ( can't remember ) PLUS all the extra charge, such as all kind of " FIELD TRIPS " ( YOU have to pay! and pay for the teachers too .. )

Even pay EXTRA for equipments usage .. ( yeah, they us all the MAC, L lens, even Sax for music lesson ... student can take the school's mac book home, L lens home, even Sax ..

)

In Vancouver... for private school..it's not hard to get in if you have money! All you need to do is DONATION!! then ur son / daughter can study in private school for sure.. few years ago when I tutor a Grade 4 kid (who study at Point Grey Academy) his tuition was like CAD$8000.00 plus additional monthly donations.. gees.. and those kids no need to be smart..... it's just the government here, they do not support those gifted child!!!
My young little sister who was determined to be a gifted child 2yrs ago (she was in Grade 3), at that time, richmond school board still offer a small class study once a week at their public school...(doing math, haiku, etc.. and teaching based on each child abilities) and by the end of that year..my sis teacher was so upset and told me that the school board cut the fundings... and no more special class... what can my family do? send her to a private school which costs more than 8000 (same amount as University Tuition?) The school board asked my little sis to do all the tests and exams,, set up a special file for her.. and determined that she is gifted child but with no support at the end... gees..

most top and successful (if wealthy and power are used for measuring the level of "successibiltiy") are not from those so-called popular and expensive (or popular becos of expensive) schools......

its a status thing.... and also for the kids to social at their own level. my sis doesn't want her son to social with those kids that lives in public housing... those 冇家教 kids...
