Sports Instructor & Open Gym Attendant
Applications are now being accepted for Sports Instructor and Open Gym Attendant at Thompson Community Centre. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team. A wide range of programs are offered through the Thompson Community Association in partnership with Richmond Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services. Applicants should have a sports background and a passion for working with children.
Duties and Responsibilities
Works within the community centre setting to ensure a coordinated delivery of sports programs
Instruct a variety of programs to children 3-12 yrs and youth 13-18 yrs
Oversees open gym programs at the centre and offsite schools
Work with programming staff at the centre to provide a high level of instruction
Ensure the safety of all participants
Required Qualifications
Currently in Grade 11 or 12, University/College student
Previous experience volunteering or instructing sport programs
NCCP Certification
Experience leading groups and working with volunteers
First Aid and CPR
Consent to Criminal Record Search
Hours of Work and Remuneration
Part-time. Evening and weekend work is a requirement of this position
Hourly rate based on experience
