Remembered HK Drivers had this action couple months ago to BOYCOTT a particular brand name GAS STATION because of the GAS $ so high and reduced much less than expected! It really works and GAS $ dropped a week after!!

What do u guys think in here? Oil slipped hit record low toward $37 a barrel ($ should be around $70/barrel) and our GAS $ still $0.9 Cents/litre during day time and $0.849 at night! ALL the GAS Stations with different brand names goes up and down at the same time! NO COMPETITION?? They all making BIG BIG $.

Can't imagine if the $ /barrel back to around $70 and how much we will pay later??

i dunno wtf is wrong with our gas price... its down to 12 bux in hk already

our price went from 73.x to 90+ while the price of oil has been dropping....

Really? I personally is not a defeatist but I just don't know how/where to complain!!!

I think the refiners are making too much profit?

The canada government and gas companies are sharing the profit, that's why there will never be any form of intervention on the gas price. Not sure if boycott is the solution for this... maybe just drive to the States to fill up the tank.

Do u have time down to the State to fill up your tank everyweek? Don't forget the convert rate between CDN and US extremely low too! Boycott is the only way to do the punishment for the gas station!

Ok la...  still cheap ..

I know I shouldn't compare to HK .. however, as HK is my second home .. and I usually spend 3-4 weeks in HK to drive ..

Gas price was just cut by 50 cent ?? from $15 to $14.5  something like that ..

So.. when compare, 70 cent ($4 HKD)  it isn't bad ...

I rather blame on tax/fee  etc .. suppose house price etc is much cheaper now ..  why do I pay $1,500 more on tax this yr? and why $10-15 more on water bill etc everymonth??

And from $1.75 per shirt ( wash ) to $2.5 now ..  that is like $10 more per month ..

I am not going to argue if I should pay $5 or $6 less per month on gas ..

I am pissed with most the stupid high fee/tax in Canada .... but never complain about gas price ..

Sorry! I mean $35 cents reduced per litre before! HK traffic is so convenience hooked up to all different kinds of transportation but not Vancouver! Also, Running N.S.E.W. in some Cities of Vancouver need lots of Gas but not HK when compare with the size!!

no use la.. we need gas to run our cars anyways.. how many people would boycott gas stations by walking or biking in the cold winter? We need gas eventually.. and gas company knows about that.. no matter how much they raise the gas price, there will be some people that need gas (logistic companies, public transit,.... )

Maybe media is the way to go.... However that will only make more consumer frustrated about the gas price, but the gas company can still do nothing.. 吹佢唔脹 , you still need gas..

So the only way to go is to open up a gas station ourselves and serve the community with true and cheap gas... (廢話)

Heard on the radio, the refiners response was like...they need to be responsbile to their shareholders blah blah blah so they need to set a price that the public "can" accept...in other words, ripping us off!

So many excuses and B.S. all the time!! Shareholders? Come on and look at the stock everyday even energy or oil.... SUCKS! Then who will give responsible of all the drivers because $ just up to $94 cents/ litre?

Please refer my 1st post in here! U totally misunderstood my posting! I mean boycott a PARTICULAR BRAND NAME for a certain period of time until it doesn't have business for that time. This brand name will be more agressive and reduce $ until it can get more business back from the others! HK WORKS!!

that is what piss me off!

don't know why the oil companies lower the price only at night time. does it mean that they penalize the people pumping gas in the day time???

well if they can actually make this gas price increase north-america-wide......it may actually be a good thing since people will want small, efficient cars again...and maybe jap manufacturers can bring us the efficient K cars!!!
