目前我食過兩間 C restaurant 同埋 Boathourse restaurant

相對而言
C 高級D 環境正D FEEL好D 但碟頭就細D 味道也一般般(除0左一兩樣)
Boathourse 環境就一般 味道反而好D 碟頭亦大D

想問下大家仲試過邊幾間 我仲想搵一間陪爸爸媽媽去食喔

dining out is like reading a painting.
it for enriching the appetite of your senses... not your stomach.

you wouldn't go to an art gallery and complain that the painting is too small would you?

You are actually paying for the experience, not for the portion.

went to MOnks ...

the fish, the lamb, the scallop were excellent.

The side dishes ....

let's put it this way.  we suspected that the fish/lam/scallop were cook by the 1st chef, the side dishes and desert were cook by ... the waiter ..!!!!

joe fortes was good.  i actually liked the seafood platter the most, but of course it's not on the dine-out menu. it was soooo fresh. got the steak n prawns for entree~ok la...nothing too spectacular, the macaroni one is actually pretty funny..like a really high class macaroni and cheese. jumbo size! both the desserts were really good.

definitely recommend it

去左 La Terrazza, 叫左個lobster bisque, short ribs, 同埋Creme Brule. 個lobster bisque不錯, 起碼唔會好似出面好多地方煮得好漏. short ribs好juicy...但食落口感居然有點似牛腩     另外我朋友就加錢叫左個羊, 我覺得好食過我個牛, 所以若果去的話叫個羊都係一個不錯的選擇. Creme Brule不過不失. 當然唔難食但唔係話好impressive

環境唔使講當然一流

If you have been there, the DineOut potion at C is "small".  And I agree that their DineOut dishes isn't as good as normal dishes.  It is one place that I wouldn't suggest to go during DineOut.

For those who hasn't been there, you could said whatever.  For me (call me cheap), I don't mind to spend $ on food.  But if it is good food, I do want to have couple more bites.  Screw it when a place leaves me an empty stomach when I walk out.

We only went to Mosaic this year.  Fun and relax environment, food were all food and it is only $28.  Server were very busy though with all the dineout people (so many asian there).

Hermitage is one that I always enjoy going back.  Try that out.

唔飲酒都7-80蚊架。

所以咪話我唔會去dine out囉。死逼爛逼去到又唔係食平日食到果D﹐又未必好食﹐仲要無晒消費者尊嚴去等去訂。$38都係錢﹐我無前咪食平D囉﹐渣住$38去好多地方食都得啦。

We went to Lift

I had Salmon Tuna sushi (1 piece), squid (added that day), mushrroom rice (yup, 3 appertizers).  Main dish is duck and venison (I literally got 3 slice of duck and 2 slice of venison).  Dessert is Chocolate tart.

The place is in the middle of NO WHERE, nothing next to it, it's also very quite. The food was nice but NOT filling, I am actually glad I  had that mushroom rice, if I have had the alternative, which is 2 piece of scallop, I would be really hungry.

We went to "siu yeah" afterwards.

did they add lamb to the dine out menu? or did your friend order separately?

Dine out menu上面有的，但寫明要加錢咁囉

Went to Section C with friends and Griffins with family...

Highly recommend Griffins!  Dessert buffet was delicious!!  

Will not go back to Section C...interesting decor (pornographic pictures on wall and wine menu )...but they kept on rushing us throughout dinner....my friend was still drinking her soup but they already set her entree on the table...i find that unacceptable!

Section C?

我淨係識yaletown有間Section 3﹐但係我孤陋寡民﹐可能有間Section C我未聽過啦。

但係Section 3呢D真係點都唔算正式餐廳﹐我覺得係飲嘢地方囉。Griffins就見人見智啦,dessert buffet做左十9幾年﹐一定有捧場客嘅﹐又唔係貴(好似$30幾?)。

So I went to Carver's Steakhouse (neither famous nor a popular choice out there) but we had no regret trying that place. Thumbs up to the quality and portion given it's $38.

Both appetizers were good and I loved the rib-eye. Black cod was fine as well. For sure will visit again for other regular menu items.

haha...yes...my mistake...大C姐 you are right laa...and yes, including dessert buffet still just 28 bucks....good deal loh...and interestingly, 90% of ppl there were CHINESE!!

任食啵﹐一向貪小便宜嘅中國人緊係唔輸蝕啦。

went to Pinkys last Fri, not very impressive; appetizer就幾好, 個扒同魚麻麻, tiramisu又唔掂, 我諗都唔會再去...

聽晚La Terrazza, 下個禮拜joe fortes, 應該仲有幾間想試, 仲未度到期...
