we are not ignoring the history. just wanted to point out that this is not the same now.
we all know about head tax, the non real citizenship (no voting right, can't join army) but that's history and the government should learn from mistake.

similar signage were found in HK when HK was first under Britain's rule.

If you dislike Canada so much, why don't you just go back?

You are just like the "white" people you "labeled".

In your own way, if you see a Caucasian in Hong Kong or China, you would tell them "f.ucking" leave and go back to where-ever they come from.

Got the similar experience too. It happened in Fraser Vally area BEFORE 8 a.m., he was on a bike claiming that he has been BIKING from Vancouver, hungry and tired, need spare change for coffee. He just shorted out all dirty words after I refused it. I was like comeon, make a better excuse!!

No buddy, you don't are mistaken.  What you described is racism, not discrimination.

Discrimination is being treated different based on the group you're associated with.  And this, I can tell you, do happen alot in Hong Kong.

Racism is any action or attitude towards a person based on their race

You said "Hong Kong people don't do racial hate", that means racism.  This, as pointed out by several people and still ignored by you, do happen in Hong Kong.

You're saying HK people discrimate Indians, Thais, and other races with good reason? For what reasons?? Please elaborate?

I've lived in Vancouver for 14 years and I was never once discriminated in any way. Nor did anyone use racial comments against me. In my opinion, I think racism happens the LEAST in Canada in comparison to other areas in the world. Contrary to other countries, Racism is also labeled as a very serious act in Canada. Of course there will always be bad apples out there so news you have posted here in loyaukee do pop up once in a while. But a nation is made up of human beings and human beings are prone to make errors. You can't expect that racism will not happen at all. Racism happened doesn't automatically mean racism is still a serious problem in this country. All of those head tax things you said are things of the past! Move on! They APOLOGIZED! What else do you want?? Can we not vote??? Do we have to pay head tax?? NO! We, as Chinese Canadians, are respected and granted the same freedom as any other individual in Canada. Why are you so mad?

And as to your note about discrimination in HK is justified. I think you might have lived outside of Hong Kong for too long. I don't blame you. People that misses HK and have not truly lived in it for a long period of time for a while would look at it as a perfect glamourous city. Reality check- it is not.. I've moved back and I would say racism is more of a problem here than in Canada. And sorry for bursting your bubble.. discrimination here is NOT justified.
Discrimination is discrimination. Racism is racism. There's no such thing as justified discrimination or justified racism.

I moved back for a Job offer

"Racism is not a serious act in Canada at all.  I think you left Canada for too long.  Because HK has gotten worse after 1997, you suddenly feel Canada is so GREAT!  You miss your previous "good life" in Canada and obviously would look at it as a perfect glamourous country."
I moved back for ONE year so your claims are invalid here

"Same as the other guy, you also don't understand what discrimination means or racism means.  I don't blame you.  Since you learned it in Canada."
Have you ever wondered why nobody agrees with you? When you think you understand the true meaning of discrimination/racism and nobody else agrees with you...Have you considered the fact that maybe you're the one that's misunderstood?
