Anyone using one of these at home? Any comments, pros and cons?

Got it 3 months ago at Costco, I guess it is the latest. Works good on hard flooring, not so good in carpet as expected.
It is quite handy if you don't leave anything on the floor, it won't remove the obstcales for you.
Like it dusting the bathroom, you come back in 10 minutes all the hair are gone. It is very expensive for a vac, but I am a lazy bone.

BTW ... my friend bought one 2 years ago and he mentioned that the battery was a major issue. basically it needs to be replaced after 9 months. That's like half the cost of the thing. (He didn't buy it in Canada though)

being using the 5xx model for 9 months. I had hard wood floor and it works great. Amaze to see how much dirt it picks up. Some model has the timer feature and it could set it up to work while you were away.

My brother-in-law one seems to be a bit quiet compare to mine.

LD has the lower model on sale this week in $1xx.

It is a small vac, it just lacks the power to suck the dust deep down. It does the job on the surface. You still need to use the conventional vac once a while.

I have it only 3 month, so I don't know how long does the battery last. Friend of mine have it over a year, still working fine.

been using one for almost 1 yr. it's great! however, be prepared to buy extra brush/parts. I've had friends that had to return theirs a couple of times due to broken parts. I am fortunate so far...knock on wood sin!

I didn't put the extra remote . .. so .. it doesn't know how to "go home" ..

Catpiano, go to their website and contact their tech support. I just called them yesterday and they will send me another one coz mine is very noisy. Just do it quick b4 the warrenty is over!

call them anyway! they gave me an option for if mine is over but i didn't pay attention coz mine is still under warrenty. you might want to just check with them. it doesn't hurt!

My gf had the 405, I worked it once and I find it very slow and limited range. With pets at home, I don't know if the Roomba would fo the trick.

If you have a large house, you can probably set it to do one room a day :-)

I still prefer my Dyson DC25, it still sucks....

One is just not enough for a standard 2-3 floor house. You need at least one per floor.

If you are buying like 3, might as well get a Dyson so that the job can be done faster.

I find it ever since I am using my Dyson ball, I am faster in getting the whole house cleaned.

Of course I do cleaning at home myself. I have 2 cats at home and I just can't stand fluffy stuff on the carpet.

The HEPA filter in the Dyson helped relieve my family's allergy a lot.
