nowadays any grocery store should sell it.  You can always check the post outside the store.  But remember if it got a lot of minutes, it means :

1. it will have daily charges that means after your first call, certain amount would be deducted from the cards each day passed by.

2. the quality would be very random but mostly bad.

3. Hard to connect because many people might use the same one.

Thanks..
what's the diff between AA, Go Asia, and Go Long Distance?
They seem to give same rate?
how's the connection fee works?

Go asia and Go Long distance are the same company but go asia's asia rate is better.

I used Ying-Yang and it seemed good.

If the connection is not good, just hang up and try again to hopefully get a better line.

Go Asia or China One

陰陽 phone card.  The way I would do is to ask the clerk to show you several different phone card, if the back of the cards are the same, that means those cards most likely are from the same company.

DO NOT BUY CARDS FROM THE SAME COMPANY ONCE.

buy more than 1 with different company. (preferably one with cheap rate and one with expensive rate.)

China one is pretty reliable but the minutes are not as much.

why do I know?  Because before my wife came to Canada, I used to use phone card to call her every day for 3-4 hours per day....  Collections of phone cards.

Is there any PhoneCard allow me to call back from HK to Canada in cheap rate??  I heard my friend mentioned that before.

I want to get one so that I could call home on my trip.

Thanks for the info.  We have AIC here as well and will check the HK->Canada rate.  When staying at my family home, I just use whatever they have.  But once in a while, I do want to call back Canada while I'm on the street.

when I stayed in H.K. or China, I always buy their local photo cards.

I can suggest another alternative which I have been using for many years

http://www.xpresscall.ca

This is a "no-pin" calling card service where you buy the time online, and you can register up to 8 phone numbers (cell and home both work). Then those numbers can call the local access numbers and do long distance right away.

The best thing is, you get like 40 min free when you sign up and the time do not expire.
