今天中午與朋友們到本拿比一華人商場二樓的酒樓享用點心, 期間看見鄰座有數位客人在結脹時因xx金咭的問題與那位男經理討論, 那位經理態度很不友善並大聲地跟客人爭論, 雖然我的座位與他們有一段距離, 但仍能清楚地聽見那位經理說 '為免被人混水摸魚, 我們從今天開始訂下新規則, 所有客人均須攜帶xx金卡才能享受折扣". 不管誰對誰錯, 那位經理都不應那樣說話. 他在訂下新規則時是否應先通知他的客戶? 平時我巳感到那位經理的服務態度有問題, 今天在聽過他的高見後對他真的是另眼相看, 雖然本拿比没有什麼選擇我也不會再回去.

I've heard this same sentence from a waiter at the Dim Sum place of the same restaurant group in Richmond. I guess that's their standard reply to all customers after the introduction of their new paid VIP Gold card.

Ive been there last month. me and my friends were having all you can eat. we ate very late and only us and another table still there. and the all of sudden the boss ask loudly to his employees "dee PXX KXX jao sai mei ah?" ( Has the Pxx Kxx leaving yet?)...態度really有問題.

you are not suppose to swear in front of the customer about them.

obviously, he is not a real boss, but just a little manager. Very simple, if you are the real boss, will u call your customer pok guy in front of them?

I have the regular discount card (black in color) from N years ago, that one is for discounts. The Gold card is a newer card where you can collect points to exchange for stuff and/or airplane tickets. But the gold one needs annual fees, and now I only go to any restaurants of that restaurant group like once a year or even less, so gold card is totally not worth it.

I heard you have to eat with them like every week maybe few times a week to get enough points for the plane ticket though.

最近聽朋友講同尖X炒大鑊又係因為呢張卡﹐好心改善一下呢個卡 SYSTEM 喇﹐個 MANAGER 又係好緊張比唔比折扣﹐本來對呢間野印象不差﹐但似乎 VIP 事件得罪了好多客﹐高層有無諗諗點改善服務﹖ 直情取消張卡好過喇。。。

Yeah! Bad service!
I just went recently, forgot my disc card. They keep reminding us to bring it next time. But the "reminding" sounded like a "warning"! One waitress said that if we don't have the card, they can't give discount. Another said to bring back receipt in 7 days. When we were paying for the bill, the cashier said: "har chi nei dei nei ng goi gay duk daai card!". The first thing that came to our mind was: uh oh, we'd better not come next time without a card!. I said: "Ok, we just decided the last minute to have dinner here so we didn't bring it." She didn't respond to me or look at me! But seriously, what she said almost sounded like she discouraged customers from giving them business if they forget to bring the card! Their attitude is like it's a privilege and a favor they are doing for you when you come for food!
Well, the hotpot for 2 ppl without discount came to $60xx plus jung yiu sau hei! With that money, I can go for a better dinner elsewhere for better food and service lor! It's too bad that I really like hotpot and their location is close to work and home. But after giving them so many chances, I think I have enough la!
