我冇留意其他地方呀。。淨係去過BESTBUY同FUTURE SHOP。
價錢方面兩者都好似差唔多。
但係唔知係咪C但一間度買都OK呢？
定係LYK們有其他心水地方？

我諗緊想買Acer Aspire果部。

但我好似見到其他LYK話部機好NOISY？
唔知有冇人用緊依部呢？
160GB hard disk, $399買唔買得過呀？

我都係唔係太識揀。。
依家市面有果D部部差唔多。
我淨係識揀1GB RAM或以上同埋大VOLUME D既hard disk既電腦咋@@

係呀係呀！之前返香港，見到佢地賣果D NETBOOK真係好多款，D款又靚。
價錢方面好似大概3000-4000HKD...
不過，香港買就要博返黎果陣唔好俾海關打稅囉。
我DADDY之前一次返黎，咁僑俾海關捉到。。打左好似500幾稅呀..@@

One is talking about netbooks, and another one is talking about huge notebooks...

Try NCIX or anitec. I think there were two threads on this topic(netbook) like right on the top of this forum.

Also, the prices we get in Canada are already very good...

just got my 1st netbook 2 weeks ago and it was ASUS 1000HE, so far so good and now running Windows 7 beta smoothly.

嗯，我有睇果兩個THREAD呀，我見大部份都係講NCIX。但我自己未去過。

PRICE方面，我都覺得幾好。
連埋稅都好似冇香港咁貴。。不過當然要睇下邊部啦。

仲有我講緊既係netbook.. notebook我已經有一部。
但我部notebook真係太笨卒啦。

if you are getting brand name netbook, canada & hk are almost the same price. due to the exchange rate, canada maybe better tim. but you can get unknown brand netbook in hk, which is much cheaper la.

我冇留意香港部acer幾錢呀。。不過香港有出其他品牌既netbook.. 我記得見果有samsung, sony, fujitsu（好似係咁串）等等。。。即使係toshiba.. 香港果個款真係靚好多。。

i used that before, it did make a lot of noise, so i change for a toshiba
toshiba the keyboard is quite small but it doesnt make noise

I do not like the pad buttons on the side and the price is also higher than the Asus 904AH that I got from An*tec. I think the webcam is only 0.3M only? I agree Acer is slimmer, but I also think it is not as solid too.

I used to had an Acer netbook too. Noise and hot temperature are common problems for many Acer netbooks.

Rather then NCIX and Anitec, A-power in Richmond is a pretty good computer store too

At least I think they have better customer services~

For example, when I picked up my notebook, i specifically looked for the one with hdmi output so I can connect to my tv and watch movies.

I got an acer too so far I do not have any problem with it. I bought mine from ncix.

Would not recommend for Acer netbook because it is hard to do the ram or hard drive yourself. Go for ASUS or Lenovo.

nope. I guess it all depend on your luck. My ex-manager got a Sony one but he had to return it three times to finally get the one without any defects....

I am currently using a new Sony TT w/HDMI out (Small Notebook) I was in HK checking out netbook, they are ok if you only going to use it for the web, but they are pretty slow, and the display quality is mostly not as good as Sony.

Also, go for SSD HD if you can.

sony may be good for quality, but they are quite expensive though comparing to other brands?

unless im going to watch HD movies on my netbook (which probably not with the small screen), i think i would prefer to choose something not as expensive but still can be used daily for notes taking etc.. (just my personal opinion)

haha I think my manager really liked that laptop and that's why he returned it three times,

i do not remember clearly but I remembered there were twice that

one ( or two ) pixels were dead on the screen -> return it

A-power is in Richmond. The address is 101-11211 Bridgeport Rd,
Richmond, BC

I would recommand Lenovo Ideapad s10e because I am using this for few weeks now without any problems. It is one of the popular netbook here in Hong Kong. But if you don't like the brand, Asus and Toshiba are not a bad choice too. But for me, I won't recommend Acer for sure, as there are too many problems for me.

All netbooks have similar spec., so you may want to look at other things such as how stable is the netbook or warranty. For Lenovo, Toshiba and Asus netbook there are 1 year international warranty. For Asus, I think they even have a 30 days ZBD (Zero Bright Dot) guarantee on all of their eee pc!

mostly bestbuy and futureshop only carries certain brand of notebook such as sony, hp and others. You can buy from them when you like those brand and are on sale.

You can buy Lenovo from few local stores in Vancouver, like NCIX, or online at Tigerdirect.ca or even from the Lenovo offical homepage( but is usually more expensive). But I think you won't find a single Lenovo's product in bigger store like BestBuy.

And yes, ZBD means if you find any white/bright dot on your screen, you can request a replacement/repair within 30 days.

By the way for Asus warranty, I think they will paid for two-way shipping, which means if your netbook needs repair, Asus will pay for two-way shipping (i.e. shipping cost to Asus + shipping cost for Asus to return the netbook to you).

This could be something for you to consider because I know some computer brands would simply ask customer to be responsible for one way shipping (i.e. shipping cost to repair center), which could costs at least $40-50CDN depands on method of shipping

you need to tell everyone your budget and what kind of machine you looking for. what are you going to do with it before anyone can answer your question. Those who gave you opinion are likely just look at the spec of the machine instead of what you really need.

Dell just came out the Mini 10, can have a look.. but currently only shipping 1GB RAM version. 2GB version still need to wait because Dell incorporate the CPU and RAM onto a daughter board.

嘻，其實之前已經有心水想買邊部，所以先順帶問下LYK意思同部電腦既FEEDBACK。。=]
但其實我都仲係好想知邊度有NETBOOK賣。。除左BESTBUY，FUTURESHOP，NCIX，APOWER同ANITEC之外。。
因為知道多D地方可以作價錢比較嘛。

不過我依家部NOTEBOOK已經係DELL。。我覺得好似蝸牛咁慢。。開機關機都要最少成分鐘咁耐。。
加上部NOTEBOOK冇WEBCAM。。所以我想部NETBOOK有。。
我記得之前去過BESTBUY見過其中一部MINI。。（唔知係咪你講果部）。。係冇WEBCAM既～～

hmm..icic... but i think the only one netbook i see on sale in bestbuy was the Dell Mini... i think it wss $299.. not sure about Future Shop though..
