Hi, does your company give you the bonus? Just wondering how much is it comparing to your monthly salary.

I did not get mine yet but should get mine this week and I hope it's at least 50% of my monthly salary.

our company is very PK....
they give you bonus, but pay you HALF in december (which i got), and the other HALF in JUNE next year.

wudda fxxx! they pay out the whole thing last year...but this year, they changed it!!!

but we don't give to just anyone...you have to be employed for 6 months prior to the company's year end.

the amount you get, is based on your:
-salary
-job title
-job ranking
-length of employment

very very sucky for us admin people ga... cus our production teams get extra bonus if they meet target... same with the business/marketing team. they friggin left out us admin & finance people lor!!!

my bonus (if including the other half that i will receive in june) is equivilent to approx close to 3/4 of my monthly salary ga ja

good system, so that people won't just leave the company after they get the bonus.

my company does not even have a system regarding bonus. The boss and the other partner just do performance review on individual, then come up with a number based on the performance of the person and the profit of the year. (Feel bad now b/c I am getting a pretty good bonus and I am playing on LYK atm ROFL)

Hmm... I don't agree that admin/reception/account people not getting a share when the production team meets certain target lor. The work load for the admin side should just increase proportionally; hence, should share certain percentage on the extra bonus neh...

I would say 50% to 100% of a month is pretty good neh.

I did not have any bonus for my last job neither because it's a pure development firm.

Last year was my first year with the new company and I got like 1/6 of the monthly salary..

12 hours work daily straight for two week so far........
8:30am - 8:00pm everyday......................

aiya... i was so planning to quit..until i was SO CHOKED to know that i only get 1/2 in dec!!! but im still gonna try & leave in jan!!!!!! im so determined!!!

it's so not fair because us admin ppl do so much support work for production so that they can be more efficient, which yields more work done = more profit. but we don't get a cut...wudda.... aiii

Both myself and my honey are working for Chinese owned companies.
We do received bonus every year.

Her bonus is a 5 digits pay check....

So, it always depend on your boss. Chinese company or not is not the key factor.

lol... ma ma san.. I gave up this bs long time ago la.
whenever you say "oh such group of people is such and such", there will always be people coming out and yell "hey, I know my neighbour's wife's dog belongs to that group but it is not such and such".

even if you go say "thieves are bad guys", I bet there will someone to come here saying I know a thief, he is a mr. good person of the year.

well... haha... majority LOL!!

ya, i worked retail before and we didn't get any bonuses... very bad!
but now that i am out of retail, hopefully i get bonuses this year

This year's bonus is super sucky ... I only get around $600

It's better than nothing but back then... before we got amalgamated by a new company, we used to do profit sharing, and our bonuses depended on how many goals we've reached (4 main goals, 4% each achieved)
That year we achieved all and everyone got $7200

That's why I said sucky lor

Did you get my point?
Chinese company/Non Chinese company is not the key factor for the bonus.

If talking for majority, most of my friends who are working for non-chinese company are not receiving bonus too.
So, it only depends on your boss.............

Also, most friends working in Hong Kong also receiving bonus... (They are pure Chinese...haha).

my current company didn't give any bonus (since is union)
my previous company's bonus range from 1 - 3 monthly salary (depends on your performance).

Sigh .. most people I hv talked to .. get 6 digit bonus ... I only get 4 digit .. ( suppose 5 .. but .. sigh .. ) my wife may only get 5 digit bonus .. will know in 2 month ..

the company gave her a house to live, all fees paid.

Her salary doubles in 8 months, 6 digit bonuses

Oh yeah .. if work in Ft. Mc ( Richest city in Canada .. could be richest city in North America now!! ) even doing clean up .. ~ $30 an hr la.. crazy .. crazy .. but . .. it is boring over there .. and damn cold .. - 40 c is normall .. and living standard is so damn high in Alberta now .. sigh ...

I get bonus based on self performance against a set of KPI set at the beginning of the year.

It's true.

the reason why that girl moved back and work in our company instead is that she can't let her son live at Fort Mac. It's "THE END OF THE WORLD" as she describes. The only school field trip in the year is going to the library lor.

But yeah....for singles working there a year is good. YOu'd be rich

I think my bonus usually is usually around 60-80% of my monthly salary. I think I'll prefer not receiving any bonus if I can work in a less stress environment. It'll probably pay off when I don't need to dye my white hair.

I only got 150% of my monthly pay as my bonus.... comparing to the 6 digits...

However I am content with this.
