With the expansion of California Adventure Theme Park just next to Disneyland, it was pretty huge too.  Many good rides there.

hey is your good chef still there? When are we going to meet/eat at the food court?!

I hope so.  I have not connected him since I came back so I am not sure.  He is supposed to leave next Tuesday.

I missed his cooking too.

Hey, a little off topic, but isn't Malaysian foods mostly home-style cooking?
Many good Malaysian cooks are housewives and grandmothers, why don't you hire
a few Malaysian ladies and continue your food business? it is not Haute Cuisine
like French and Italian that commanded years of apprenticeship and certification.
I do know many Malaysian/Singaporean/Bruneis that cook very well at home.

yes but you got to learn how to handle a lot of pressure in order to be a restaurant cook.  You got to stand by the hot heat all day long.  It is a tough job.

In addition, many people come to eat the cook's food.  They do not want to eat other cook's food even though other cook might cook better than him.  In few occasion, when they did not see the cook, their first question was "was the cook there"; otherwise they would not eat.

Forget the cooks' fans, they can follow him, business could go on without him.
What I want to say is that you can continue to serve authentic Malaysian food
with genuine Malaysian, Public Market Food Court caters to all walks of life,
I used to go there before your business took over, obviously the food are
slightly different, but as long as the quality is good and the price is reasonable.
And I think some people would like to go there just because of your philosophy
to run business. Again, people in the neighbourhood would not go to other
side of the city just for daily fix.
However, all the best wishes to your new venture.

I hate Disney especially the line ups. I have been there involuntarily few times.

I love Disney but I hate line ups.. but still want to go Disney!!

actually disney has this fast pass now, you insert your ticket to get a fast pass and you can come back in assigned time without lineups.  In the mean time you can line up for another ride, when you finish that ride, you can come back to this ride without lining up again.

miss myversa for long long time

thanks tiffiant.

Just to update my restaurant, (I choose to do it here because I do not want to open another thread about it, that would be too high profile), the new temporary cook worked in Banana Leaf before and I had tried his cooking; I got say it was not bad.  Besides, my cook already taught him how to cook his way.  If you want to try Banana Leafs in a cheaper price, try our restaurant.

DROVE? woaowoaowa
how many days?

I drove rental car 11-12  hours a day and spent 2 days to get there.  3/4 of driving time is 120 km that hardly enjoy in BC.

I would say we spent 1/2 less travelling cost compare with air passage plus renting car locally.  The down side of driving to LA is to drive back same way we drove South on #5.

Therefore, we took different route back when we have the 2nd trip.

that's.....tha'ts like half of a day
12 hours.......unbelieveable?
straight to la or stop few times?

I went to L.A. with a bus tour.  It was burger for meal for nearly 4 days (2 days go and 2 days back).  It was kind of pain in the last two days because we were rushing to come back.

no wa, cannot eat rice on a fast food restaurant ma.

However, the cook did cook his own special tuna mix that I can put into my sandwich.

It's kind of spicy favor and it was great.
