Do you guys know where I can get some 潮州菜 in Vancouver ??
GF is looking for 糖醋麵.

以前唐宮有。。。不過以家接埋左>< 都5知邊到有luuuuuu....i want to know too
i love chiu chow food....since im chiu chow person hahaha

You still have the option ... @West Vancouver and the cook is Mr Lam
I don't remember the exactly resturant name, its like XXX's kitchen

location is the block 14th or 15th ave intersected with Marine Drive, WEST VANCOUVER

It's called Vip's Kitchen and we just went there last Friday!
I really like the 鹵水鴨 there. Other dishes we had were:
鹵豆腐併蛋 - so so compare to the duck
胡椒酸菜豬肚湯 - pretty good
炸蝦併炸豆腐卷 - good but a bit oily
蠔餅 - good but not with the small oysters. well those can only be found in HK.

The dish you want is called "兩面黃".

The food was good. There are some dishes that you have to pre-order a day ahead. (like cold fish or 豆醬雞) And the place doesn't look nice... It's like an old burgar/grill place with open kitchen. They have a few round chinese glass top tables. And it's kinda cold inside. BUT that's like the only place for 潮州菜 in metro vancouver.

試過佢地d鹵水鴨好唔掂喎，非常dry，menu d 野又貴，但係入面裝修就雜碎館格局

I really like the 鹵水鴨 there. Other dishes we had were:

The price wasn't cheap but not super expansive.
1/4 duck + tofu + egg was like $8.99
1/2 duck ~$12
oyster pancake $12
grill clams $12

I don't usually care for 裝修 in restaurants. And btw the service was lacking until the chef came out and chatted with us at the end of the meal.

好内冇食啦！每次返港時都會去金島或潮冮春食嘅甜品。

May be you can call them.
They have deep fried items but not sure if there is any deep fried dessert.
They have 反沙芋 if that's the one you are looking for. They are a few menus and may be cos of the location, they have a lot of "chop sue" dishes.

I am not saying Vip's Kitchen is extremly good but they are alright for 潮州菜 here. Dishes are a bit on the oily side. If you live in downtown, it's a short drive across the bridge.
