last wed made these after work:
1) stir fried chicken in Korean BBQ sauce
- cut onions and mushrooms
- cut chicken and marinate in sauce for a while
- stir fry onion, put aside
- stir fry mushroom with minced garlic and a little bit of butter, put aside
- stir fry chicken, add onion and mushroom back and add more sauce-> done
2) winter melon cubes soup
- diced winter melon, chicken, prosciutto (better if u have chinese ham)
- heat 1 can of chicken soup, add water wait till it's boiling
- soak some dry scallops in water (I didn't have time to soak chinese mushroom)
- put in dry scallops and winter melon cubes
- add some frozen corn (fresh ones are way better)
- when the winter melon is ready, throw in prosciutto
- season with salt, white pepper and sesame oil.
- lower heat and add chicken, simmer until cooked -> ready to serve

White Truffle Butter is not necessary real "Butter", it could be a term
to describe chopped white truffle for spreading on canape or croustini.
It is not that expensive, about $20-$50 a small jar depends on quality.
The white truffles from Oregon State and Poland are way less expensive
than the Italian one from Piedmonte.
You can also buy white truffle oil, Urban Fare gave me a bottle for cooking demo
that they would sell for $120/100 ml. It does wonder for Smashed Yokon Gold potatoes作者: 小叻 時間: 2009-4-5 21:27

The one I bought is actually butter. It smells is very strong.. so I only use a little bit otherwise will be too strong for a dish.
where to buy? heheeh not in urban fair la.
I bought it in a cheese specialty shop on 2ave (& Burrad). right across Lotus. that shop has lots of good cheese.. and also Truffle in a jar.. and truffe oil / butter.. cravier... etc. all good stuffs. 作者: 布小熊 時間: 2009-4-6 09:22
