Wah.... Service REALLY BAD la... That SUPER bitchy lady at the front counter (the only one who is not wearing uniform, short with glasses) is SOOOOO INCH!!! We used to go there all the time, but she is still super INCH !!!!

I just went there, and found out the renovation is quite new.
food - okay wor
price - not too high, considering the Metrotown mall is the second largest mall in Canada, so rent is high.
service - good for those who served us

hm... in my opinion,
they are serving in the ChinaTown way, the ChinaTown food, with Metrotown price range
I just don't justify to go there....

Usually in downtown location rent is expensive. I am not saying size of mall is the only factor. But Metrotown, is not only large, but the location is popular, many retailers want to open a store there. It is a major mall in the area, so rent should be more expensive than locations on some side streets.

Do you have any idea how expensive it is? My firends and I are thinking about establishing some kind of business because 2 of them just got lay-off. No motivation to look for another job.

Everything is Mid-range lvl imho...

It's not that expansive but then again I would rather go over to Crystal Mall if I wanna have that type of food.

i always see lots of ppl waiting outside the restaurant during lunch/dinner hours. it's just crazy long line ups. probly because its the only chinese restaurant on that side of the mall?

Nothing special with that resturant. Just super convenient and you want some variety in food choice.

Their location is good and convenient, so their rent is probably be higher than at Chinatown. But they have enough customers to support the store.

Yeah, the food is only so so but the service isn't great... Especially the Winnie woman!
She's sooooooooooo inch!

btw, one time we ordered fried rice and there was a cig butt in there!!
We told the waitress and she suggested to reorder (we ordered another combo), so we ordered another drink. She charged us an extra drink!

It puzzled us how it got into the rice!

The cook was smoking while cooking the fried rice,
Yes, it is illegal to smoke inside a restaurant, but
some staffs still smoke on the job.

First of all, this location is always packed with people.....so expect long waits during mall hours. The hostess is downright rude and obnoxious. She yells at the customers if they ask her for anything, and she is also very sarcastic to parents with strollers. She laughs at the staff if they make mistakes, and she does not properly train the new waitresses, she just stands there to laugh and pick at the newer staff. When you ask her for the bill, she literally throws the bill at you, and yells a very ungrateful, "Thank-you" with a frown,. The food is pretty good though, like the satay chicken chowmein and the chicken spaghetti. However, I do agree that after renovations, most of the prices for the dishes have been quite steep. For example $9.50-$12.50 for chowmein or fried rice. Also the breakfast sets are ridiculously priced at $7.95 for a crappy tasting coffee, small piece of meat with "two" eggs( so they claim, but it seems much less than 2), a small cup of noodles, and a boring slice of dry toast with butter.

個人o黎講唔鐘意crystal mall 個停車場,好難搵位同埋好錯佢轉o黎轉去o既設計
crystal mall 個food court, believe it or not, 我見過有人拎個痰罐出o黎批小朋友小便
人o地質素同埋車位問題,我已經好耐無去過

但係佢拎走倒o左佢

我屋企人係唔講"打包"o既,因為好多從事醫護行業,唔係好想放工都聽到"打包"...
可能係我表達得唔好,我應該成句講"比個盒我拎走"

yeah......maybe 加埋個「盒」字 would be more clear

cuz when I saw you saying "唔該拎走" I think I was getting a wrong interpretation as well

I had breakfast at the Boss (Metrotown) last week and the eggs they served were much different from the ones I have at home. The yokes tasted funny and they were pale creme in colour. There were very little egg white. I decided not to eat them, just to play safe.
Many years ago I saw some eggs labeled as 'eggs with 2 yokes' sold in Chinese grocery stores. I wonder if Boss uses this kind of 'special' eggs.

Boss is pretty o.k. for breakfast. Nothing special, you get what you paid for. Lunch.....not as good and always crowded.
