For some unknown reason, I do not like Stxxxxxx coffee. I still go there
if I need to meet someone and it is convenience. I never go to Stxxxxxx
alone. Good news, they have a Caffe Artigiana at the new LD on West
Broadway and Cambie Vancouver

Me too. Don't like their coffee... esp their brewed coffee....
I could drink their latte if it's free. If I go there with friends, I usually just order their non-coffee drinks (tea/slash).

Remember once they were offering Gingerbread Spiced Latte samples,
Gingerbread Spiced Latte, alright, but where is the coffee?
they just served us some fancy steamed milk.
My Italian friend told me that if you order some latte in Venice,
they would just bring you some hot milk

yes! Actally we've done it on our first day of our trip there. My friend tried to order a latte and she got steamed milk. The barista was nice to make her a real "Cafe Latte" because he knew that we were tourists and didn't understand.
Yes! order Cafe Latte not latte.

we all know.. they said "pike place roast" brewed coffee. They never said espresso drinks.

Pike Place roast, gladly replacing the house blend, is my favourite medium roast coffee. I did not use to drink medium roast, but dark roast only because it tastes better. After trying the Pike, I choose this over dark

I have also noticed that a fresh cup of Pike compared to a not-so-fresh one makes a huge difference.

Because "latte" in Italian means "milk". Caffe Latte means coffee with steamed milk... Same with tea lattes which is tea + milk.

I know. (we took beginner's Italian before we left for the trip!) But it's just out of habbit that we call them "latte" here. (esp at the chain stores...)
