Has anyone been in this restaurant? It just opened on December 18, 2007. The location is bit weird, on No. 5 and River road.

Looks classy. I thought Hakkas are simple people, so why are their food so expensive?

Hmm.... interesting. By looking at the menu, not much true 客家 dishes wor. If they plan to make fusion, no need to emphasize 客家人 la. Prices are within to above average, but still in acceptable range (well, depends on the size of portion). However, I'm not interested in trying it lor.

唔好玩啦

仲有, 客家人係有的鄉土情懷﹐佢做mud搞到人地食法國大餐o甘
遲的大家去有英國皇宮decoration o既餐廳打冷啦

其實間野叫「客家人」因為係「客家人」煮既................港式Fushion餐廳

咖喱魚蛋要$5一碟呢... 唔知有無30粒呢?

不過裝修好靚, 都可以去試下既。

This is high-end Hong Kong food. So they should charge high prices. If the Japanese can charge high prices for raw beef, why can't we do the same for high-end food?

How far away are you? The weather is not that bad.

It doesn't look like they would do take-out or delivery.

Are those food and rice all cook in a big bowl/ tub , as eaten by the "Wai" village people.
considered a Hakka food. Some story told as the last Emperor of Sung tried to escape to HK and these style of food were pepared for His Majesty in a hurry came in a big bowl/tub.

Some story also told the young King would find peace when they could find 9 dragons ( Kowloon) as advised by some Fortune teller, Kowloon can only count 8 mountains the King's advisors neglected the little Emperor was infact the 9th Dragon. As they reached the lands end and no where to go their only hope of finding 9 dragons kind of dashed. So they all decided to jump intot he sea instead of being captured as POW. Geneva Convention was still 2-300 yrs ahead of its time.
Some of the Chiu's last name living in HK were the King's follower brought down South from North.

HK New Territories is considered Po On district and the Hakka folks lived there for many many yrs.

呢間野，味道 ok，不過…
1.貴
2.Menu 勁多野冇貨
3.份量少得離譜

煎茄子：隻碟勁大，兩條切到得番 1/4 邊打交叉放響上面。$8 我諗風大 d 都吹得起
客家漢堡：割包一小個包住 d 冬菇（佢話冇哂 Portobello mushroom）。又 7-8 蚊
寬條意粉：除左 d 甜到爆既茄汁之外咩料都冇，仲要非常 "el dante"（生呀）！可能小弟 d 牙唔好不過個胃都唔係好頂得順

我就諗唔到理由會再去囉，或者有人（如細食既 OL 們）會 buy 既。

If so, obviously it's not the real food quality or the cooking technique that cost you a lot, it's only the gimmicked title and atmosphere la!

i went there a while ago...it's not that bad...the chicken soup noodle is pretty good...soup is very "chicken" not msg flavor
they have a set menu...like a tasting menu which is very affordable...at least the last time i went it was a good deal with the amount of stuff they gave...
the citrus ribs or whatever it was called is pretty good too....
