I think the so called "Tonnie" Tuesday is somehow cheating. It's not just a Tonnie meal anymore!

It is a very popular sales campaign despite it is not considered health eating.
They hardly sell any regular menu items on Tuesday, and some Lofans I know would actually buy 7 orders weekly and microwave it everyday for lunch, Fries and all

It's a "cheating" campaign anyways, I should say.
Before, it was $2 (of course plus applicable tax). Can $2.05, $2.25, $2.49, even $2.99 named/called "a tonnie sale"?!
I can put up a sale of my house just for one hundred dollars! (and plus a "million" at the end. That means: a hundred million! Wakaka....)

美國電視脫口秀天后歐普拉介紹肯德基炸雞提供免費烤雞引發民眾大排長龍，肯德基緊急宣布活動暫停。

美國電視脫口秀天后歐普拉（Oprah Winfrey）5日在節目中介紹說，肯德基炸雞（KFC）限時推出「免費贈餐」活動，民眾只要自行下載列印出兌換券，就可以去各地肯德基分店免費換取一份烤雞餐點。

歐普拉原本就擁有廣大婦女觀眾基礎，她在節目中一提到肯德基炸雞將從5日到19日兩週之內提供免費烤雞餐以饗消費者，馬上引發民眾上網下載，並列印兌換券，許多網友也熱烈轉寄歐普拉官方網站上的兌換券下載網址，導致不少肯德基分店出現民眾大排長龍等著領取免費餐點的「盛況」。

在某些地區，甚至有民眾排隊1個半小時才領到這份免費的烤雞餐點，有些地區則因為人潮過多造成交通阻塞而發生糾紛。

肯德基炸雞美國公司總裁伊頓（Roger Eaton）昨天夜間臨時發表聲明宣布，這項「免費贈餐」活動暫時取消，也對消費者表示抱歉。

聲明中指出，消費者可以持這項活動原本的兌換券到分店換取新的兌換券，不過這些新的兌換券是過一段時間才能使用。

肯德基炸雞也表示，這次「免費贈餐」活動共有數百萬美國民眾下載兌換券，有些分店出現民眾不但從店內大排長龍到店外，甚至還繞過街口的情形，使得肯德基儘管加派人手，仍然無法提供足夠的餐點。
