I totally agree with you

邊個叫加拿大是一個世界上最適合"退休養老"的地方

果班上了年紀的人思想保守, 加上千載不變的政策

sigh....

有次在vansky.com看到中國移民諷刺地說:

"乡亲们哪，现在不用回国，在温哥华就能随处见到30年前国内城市落后样子啊"
"顺着broadway avenue东西走几公里，那是80年代的国内街景
要是顺东hasting街走几公里, 那就回到了国内70年代的街景里去了。
这个国家看来没戏了，永远。 "

in europe, they like to keep the old buildings and you need to keep them look the same from the outside, since it is the signature of their countries. they respect their culture & history.
