12.99 is more than enough to get a good bottle

I think $12.99 is in a good range of getting a drinkable rose.
Lik, if you can find the Joie 2006 Rose, let me know! I heard it's a pretty good BC rose. And I don't mind sharing a glass

What vintage is the wine? How long was the wine decanted? Wine that's very young might benefit from extended decanting...

Usually my last ditch effort to rescue wine that i think is quite bad is to decant it, up to 2 hours..... well.. unless you think the wine is obviously already spoiled.....

Sometimes, even storing the wine helps. Well I mean it's too late to "store it" after opening. But I bought 2 bottles of Lang vineyards Riesling 2006. The first bottle that we opened back in the summer was... not so great. It tasted... a bit sour and green... Not like a typical Riesling.
I opened a bottle in Dec on Xmas night with some friend. I am so amazed how 6 months of resting made a big difference on this wine! Love the honey and fruity aromas and the long finish!
But.. sorry for dragging on... but YES I agree decanting usually help for young wine.

Yeah, storing is the best way. Now thinking about it, it seems that a simple rule of thumb can be just for every $10 the wine cost, have to store it for 1 year, with a minimum of 2 years. So...

- $0 ~ $ 20 ~ 2+ years
- $20 ~ $30 ~ 3+ years
...
- $100+ 10+ years.

Probably won't apply after that, but for wine under $100, it seems to make sense? Just BS I came up with random LOL

But if you already got it opened and realized it's acidity is a little over, decanting usually tame it down a little. Younger wine requires more breathing while older wine requires less breathing in general.

Too much theory, need more bottle opening action!!!
