Hey guys,

I wanna get a NDS, but honestly i know nothing about it.

where can i get it with the cheapest price? should i get it now or i should wait longer?

also, i heard that there is a thing call R4 which lets u play more games...

pls help~~

You should get the DS here and the R4 in HK if possible. And get it now.

I bought mine cheap in Walmart US. But I think Zellers carry good price here now. R4 can be bought at eBay.

R4 will most likely be out of stock because Nintendo is working with law enforcement in many countries to crack down the distributors... If you are in Japan, no one will dare to advertise "R4" because of the legal issues. People will just walk around telling other people R4 is in stock.

Other than R4, there are other compatibles products out there in my opinions are better than R4. The M3, G6, EZ-Flash are all great products.

Why is the M3 better than the R4? I asked around before I purchased anything and people selling both always recommended the R4.

And the most important thing is, many "new released games" can't play by M3 but R4. Hehe....

cheapest is go to zellers, buy a ubisoft game for Wii at $14 (some onsale now, just bring to the counter and scan it), then trade the game to EB games, with this trade, you can get a NDS for $99.

btw, that $14 dollar game also qualifies for by 1 get 1 free as well. enjoy.

The M3 Simply and R4 are from the same factory. R4 is spring loaded and M3 has a clamp-on system. Both interfaces are similar.

I never really used a slot-1 system because of its shortcomings, I still have a slot-2 M3.

那麽在温哥華還是在香港買M3/R4平呢？ M3 和 R4 function 和價錢上有什麼分別？那一個此較好和more updated.

R4 and M3 are all the same. R4 is spring loaded and M3 has a clip, and I don't like spring loaded design because the card can get lost if handled incorrectly.

It's a personal preference on these slot-1 stuff.

If you are using DS-lite (not DS), go for R4 la! And I think price in HK would be cheaper than here.

I heard that the price of R4 in HK can fluctuate quite a bit. For example a R4 + 2GB card can be from HK$2xx to near HK$500 at different time.

DS is the older version with a bigger console and a little heavier; DS-lite is the newer version, the latest version. Probably you can only found used DS for it's discontinued, but DS-lite can be found in most stores, or you can find some used ones selling on the web too.
But honestly, I like the old DS for the more comfortable grip (round smooth corners for gripping), but DS-lite can play more new games (for using with R4), hehe.

玩game的時候會否只顯视中文字？如果買了中文版可否heck了它變成顯視英文字。
因家中小朋不太懂中文ｏ如果不能heck,就要他好好学中文了。

Just like Chinese and English version of Windows, you can still see the original games in English for no problem at all. But just the "front page" and the "tool bar" would be in Chinese. If your kids can't read Chinese, they can't click on the correct icons or buttons lor. But the alternative is to teach them to remember where to click for the first time, then even they can't read Chinese but they can still use it. Or, it's a good chance for them to learn a little written Chinese, haha... .

big retail chains have sold out these units
like myversa said, try the small shops. expect to pay a premium for it though because it was released 3 months ago.
