ha....... just $99?!
Digital Home estimates the typical iPhone 3G S user will pay about $3,300 over the next 36 months for the privilege of using this exciting new device.
...
If $92 a month is too much for your budget to handle, there are two options you may wish to consider in order to bring down your monthly cost... For light talkers, the second potential way to reduce costs is to investigate signing up for service through Rogers discount brand Fido. Fido does not charge a system access fee and offers a basic $15 a month voice plan.

Yes, and the data plan has a contract of its own for 3 years. If I were to terminate it before it expires, I think I have to pay $5 a month up to $100 until the end of my contract. Which is not too ...

With Apple's new iPhone 3G S hitting store shelves in Europe overnight, the device was thrown within minutes onto the operating table and gutted, revealing a Samsung-branded system-on-a-chip (SoC) featuring a multi-format codec with untapped HD video playback and capture capabilities.
Here's the deal I got (you'll need to speak to the retention department):
$25 retention plan that includes:
- 200 daytime minutes
- unlimited evenings and weekends
- unlimited fido/fido
- voicemails
- call/name displays
- 2500 sms
Plus $30 6GB Data Plan
- no system access fee
- no 911 fee
Total $55 plus tax per month. Not a huge price difference from the plan I had been using since it was $49.XX plus tax per month without data.sko 發表於 21-6-2009 12:31
it never hurt to call in their representative and give it a try.

Market research company iSuppli has pulled apart the iPhone 3G S and estimates its parts cost around $179 – $5 more than the 8GB iPhone 3G.

SunSpyder's test is very limited, only test core javascript, not even DOM...so I don't think it's a good speed benchmark. I think the Palm Pre and 3GS have the same CPU, they can't be that much diffe ...

is that just a defective device? or all 3gs phones have the overheat problem?
Bikki 發表於 2009-6-30 23:19
There is no official word when the new OS update will be released to the public, but expect it to land within the next month.
Now, Apple has at last issued a response and it is assigning the blame for the problem on its users' behavior, sunlight, and on the seasons. Apple says that leaving the device in a car on a hot day is one possible culprit causing its phone to overheat. Apparently, like a vampire the phone is no friend of the sun -- Apple states that "leaving it in direct sunlight for extended amounts of time" may cause it to overheat.
