I'm not picking on this shop.
It is the manager/operator's responsibility to ensure the quality of the
product is up to standard, whether made on premise or outsourcing.
After all, you pay a decent price for the cake in a restaurant, much higher
than the bakery. It is the reputation of the restaurant on the line, who care where

I find that place to be overpriced for HK style food. One time I spent $20 for a baked pork chop on rice and an orange juice! I work near that area but my colleagues and I would rather go to the Stages Bistro across the street inside the Holiday Inn for lunch buffet. Only 12.95 including a drink.
