我想知各位上 foundation 前會唔會搽d乜野先?
我見到好多牌子都Prep-foundation...prime
有咩用架?
用左有咩好處呀??

我咪搽KISS MAT CHIFFON 囉～

PRIMER係隔離霜。保護皮膚，EVEN OUT膚色，FILL IN幼紋／毛孔，有D有保濕／MATTE／防曬的功能，同埋PREP一個容易上妝嘅CANVAS。。。

D人話BB CREAM前唔洗PRIMER，因為BB CREAM係MULTI PURPOSE。。。不過盟主係BB CREAM嘅NOOB，我都係半信半疑。有D人都有用PRIMER再加BB CREAM，不過我自己就冇。因為BB CREAM已經比FOUNDATION厚。

I have heard an article saying BB cream = Tinited Moisturizer. They are just called differently in different regions. If it's this case, you would not put BB cream la, just primer + foundation

But I will still use primer + tinted moisturizer. I am using smashbox, it's clear not color correction.

i read a similar article, but it said tinted moisturizer is just moisturizer with color, but bb cream has all the anit-age, whitening &....
tinted moisturizer has less coverage than foundation, but you don't have to use primer. but you are better use primer if you are using foundation.

primer can even out the skin tone and act as a base for foundation to be applied on top. and it can act as a protection to your skin as well. after primer, apply foundation on top, and it helps the foundation to last/stay longer and more even out. some primer has "whitening" purposes. some primer is intended to be used underneath foundation only and not to be used alone. for example, certain type of primer (if used alone only) will make your face look shiny/sparkly in a bad way. it'll look weird. i think bb cream is more like a foundation than a tinted moisturizer. so if i have to name the order, i would say primer, then bb cream or foundation. primer is always the base, it doesn't go on top of the foundation as that will defeat the purpose of a primer. but do make sure you put on your regular day time moisturizer first, then primer, then foundation/bb cream. moisturizing your skin before applying primer is important.

i used to really really like the one from H2O, however, the product has been discontinued. the mac pre & prime (don't recall the exact name) is good. the one from chanel is also good. i've heard that laura mercier is good but i've never tried it.

primer shouldn't be heavy nor cakey. so even if you use primer, then bb cream, then foundation, the face shouldn't look caking. when you apply it on the face, it should go right in with no residue on your hands.

i don't think foundation is "bad" for you. but i think it's more important to use a good quality makeup remover to remove all the makeup and sunscreen off your face at the end of the day

mineral stuff are good too.

you can use bb cream as makeup base or foundation. (bb cream then foundation for a fuller look) but for everyday use.. you can put that on without the foundation. but if your bb cream doesn't hv 防曬, then apply 防曬 first before bb cream

I usually put Shu Uemera UV Underbase before foundation. But recently I bought Clinque Tinted Moisturizer so I put this one instead.

according to the beauty bible, don't apply thin, watery-type foundation or tinted, lotion-type moisturizer on top of your sunscreen, because it will reduce the potency of the sunscreen underneath.

you can add foundation on top of bb cream if you want a fuller look. but you can use bb cream alone and you dont need primer with bb cream

My challenge is oily skin with visible pores. I tried using BB cream all over the face and found it too thick. It seems to clog the pores and make the face even oilier.

Then I re-discovered a tube of Pore Minimizer Instant Perfector (Clinique) bought awhile back. It's like a soft putty that fill in the pores. It's also very matte. I'd put it on after putting on sunscreen, on on the T-zone, around my nose, and on my cheeks where the pores are bigger. I notice the shine is gone instantly, and the surface feels very smooth.

After putting on the Pore Minimizer, I'd put on some concealer under the dark circles. Then powder on some mineral powder. That's all i put on my face. The coverage is good enough for everyday.

I usually touch up mid-day. The past weekend I spent 8+ hours outdoor in the heat and sun. My face didn't get too oily. So I'm pretty happy with the Pore Minimize. It's like $20 and a tube should last awhile 'cos you just need a little each time.

yes you must use a primer before applying foundation
you need to pick one that suits your skin type and climate...
there're many types of makeup base:
- oil free/moisturizing/pore minimizing/SPF PA++/etc...
some face lotion/gel can serve as a makeup base too, but not all

I use the Laura Mercier for many years, and really like it, recently I bought a Paul and Joe primer to try try, and it works pretty goood too, makes my make up more 'tip'.

OIL CONTROL麻麻。。。
不過唔係真係好厚。
少少已經可以搽好大範圍。
只係而家SUMMER我哂黑後，隻色冇咁MATCH。同埋唔可以用我嘅ARMANI SUMMER TINTE嚟MIX。因為佢OIL BASE係溝唔到ARMANI嘅WATER BASE TINTE。
