I agree with you coz now the responsibility is passed to the customer. Also the mastercard technology,  Quick Swipe thing, that does not require to sign or enter pin is even more ridiculous. Although there is a $50 limit but still it's a hazzle to report if a thief got your card and keep doing $50 transaction...
