I have an experience that I bought a computer game $15 on ebay and shipped by UPS. UPS charged me $40 for clearing custom. I rejected to pay and said I would clear the custom myself. I just walked across the building at the Air cargo terminal and ended up I didn't paid anything. The custom officer said it not worth to prepare the documents to charge the duty and tax and let me go.
