其實新車唔係唔好, 之不過新車愈來愈多花巧野, 冇以前咁直接, 舉例就好似而家既電子油門~~~

Lik: I dun think new car is as reliable as old car. Safety maybe yes but personally I'm not a believer of SRS system.  Simply what you have mention those electronic gadgets are sometimes problematic, that's already a good said...

but overall i think a car reliable or not is all depending on how it was maintained. such like this new car I found I am sure the prev owner maintained it well but i still have to go thru all the basic and see if it's really worth me to keep it...

well i am not quite comparing to cars that is back in the 70s to 80s...but more like mid to late 90s and is still common on the street (there are still some of them in pretty good shape)...

of course, if one has a 88 car that is over 20 years old and is still in good shape, i will never think he will consider selling it

sb: yes or no, a lot of ppl are kinda rich and they are able to afford changing cars every 2 years or so...and those ppl generally never break in the engine properly / maintain it at all...i wouldn't want to buy my friend's X5 as she always put in 87 while 91 is recommended and the car would stall because of no reason ~ ended up wrong gas related, as soon as she switched back to 91 it never happened again...

also some cars could have involved in accidents...even tho they are rich, but who will buy a $90k new hummer and sell it out in 3 years and get only $30k back? i guess everyone would if that car has been a headache?!

我諗你買rebuild車可能要驚, 買二手車冇大撞過就算係死, 都係自然死/病死, 都唔會有幾多鬼古既???

買新車你都難保原廠整你架車果個人因工而死, 運送過程接觸過既人, dealer既人 etc...驚得幾多丫...

不過真係好多買二手車比人呃既故事? 上個禮拜我師傅打比我話佢個朋友係Lougheed定broadway d 細車行買左架二手車三個禮拜就死左副engine, 有冇得嘈? 一睇張contract warranty果欄竟然係空既, 返去問當然係冇

friend: 又話有三十日保養?
dealer: 係就係, 不過人為既唔包?
friend: huh 咩人為? 咩都冇做過喎
dealer: 就係因為你咩都冇做過
friend: huh? 你又話咩都唔駛做, check好晒可以放心渣?
dealer: 係呀, 所以一定唔會有問題, 有既, 都係你做成既
friend: 咁都得? 咁點算? 我間車房話要換engine喎
dealer: 都似喇, 咁你一係整, 一係同我地出過架, 扣三千同你收番架車?
friend: huh? 整都係二千點解要扣三千?
dealer: 因為架車唔渣得, 點知你個波箱會唔會比你整壞埋, 扣三千好抵, 好過你整完engine又要整波箱?!
friend: 咁我點知我出過架冇問題?

激到我師傅個朋友差唔多嘖血, 佢差少少比人呃左換過架, 我地問多佢兩問, 佢問人地多兩問, 終於先知又係另一個局...

另一個係我個friend買左一架rebuild車, 不過佢呢個車係某大公司有上門驗車服務幫佢驗既, 個report無稜兩可, 話有做compression check但又冇reading, 架車好明顯有漏油比人洗到乾乾淨淨佢又唔同人講, 定我個買左先發覺架車百病纏身, 一查之下發覺原來係rebuild車 (都好多年前, 返去嘈完佢地講"驗果刻係冇事架喎"...咁當中既野我唔可以肯定不過佢係一個朋友介紹過來, 我睇完佢先會去 find out架車既history, 之前佢去過一次dealer service, dealer乜都冇講只係話佢漏油....

再多既都仲有, 好似我曾經幫一位朋友搵二手車, 我諗佢果陣時都搵到差唔多想死, 一堆問題講完叫佢自己諗...lol...
