All You Can Pick Oyster Trip Oyster, Trip, Pick, All, Can

岩岩今日去完返黎，舊年已經去過一次，今年帶埋父母去，佢地超開心。因為相片未處理好，所以遲下有機會先 upload 的相。

我地既行程係：

第一日
搭船到 Duke Point 然後開車去 Qualicum，入住對海有廚房既 Casa Grande Inn。
下午開車到附近 Coombs 旅遊景點，那處有一個 Market 好有特式，特別強調係 Market 既 麵包係超超超超好味，我買左一條方包，係Bacon+Mushroom+Garlic+Chedder的，可想言知有幾正。
晚上在房的露台韓式燒烤（自己帶爐去)

第二日
一早趁潮退得最勁個時去 Deep Bay 執蠔。成個海灘都係蠔，超正！我老公同我爸爸係咁又執又揀，我地買左三個魚牌，所以夾埋最多可以執四十五隻，我地執晒Ｄ手掌咁大隻蠔返酒店廚房開蠔同煮，開左廿幾隻整日式焗蠔，蠔粥同煎蠔餅，另外廿幾隻就帶返屋企送比親友。真係食蠔都食到嘔。

第三日
早上 check out 後去左 Qualicum 市中心 Second Ave的Gary's Bistro食佢地個 Megga Omelette，一份五個人分都食到好飽。食完臨走再去 Coombs 買Ｄ好味麵包，然後開個幾鐘車去 Chemainus 睇壁畫，最後去 Duke Point 搭船回家。

上年我地同朋友去，唔止執蠔，仲掘埋蜆添，不過今年因為同父母去，唔想佢地老人家辛苦，所以淨係去左執蠔。

大家如有機會，真係要買魚牌去Deep Bay All-you-can-pick，一個魚牌先至五個幾，限執十五隻，點都抵過買蠔。

There are lots of motels along Qualicum Beach / Parksville.  You can check online to find an affordable one.  The one we stayed was Casa Grande Inn:  http://www.casagrandeinn.com/









We cooked over 20 oysters that night: oyster congee, oyster omelette, and japanese style baked oysters.


You have to try this Megga Omelette from Gary's Bistro on 2nd Ave. at Qualicum.  This omelette is big enough to feed 5 of us and it's only $14.99 plus tax & tips.

some tips on buying fish license:

1) check the best low tie date before you decide when to go oyster picking.

2) keep checking to see if there is any closure 紅潮 everyday until a day or two before your trip then decide whether to buy the license or not.  You can always buy it online and print out the license.

3) do not go pick the oysters without a fish license.  Someone do check at the beach to see if you have the license or not.  Especially the residents at the beach.

4) oysters are quite large.  So think about how many you and your friends/family can eat before purchasing the license.  If you buy / pick too many oysters it is a lot of work for you to open & wash all of them.
