Bye Bye STi, Hi Hi C4S

Yeah, that was me in the photo.  They actually trailer the car to my home, and they let me took a picture before the sti went into the trailer.
And I am not rich, just crazy.  It is a used car, and us car is always a lot cheaper than Canada la.

Price is alright, and I am sure you an find lot of info online.

While the PDK is awesome, it just isn't something as compariable to the experience with the stick.

My guess is I won't be driving a stick forever, so when the time comes.. I will be back to some kind of semi-auto.

So far, I have quite some fun with it.  My car has the PASM and Sport and PSM.

The PASM makes the suspension stiffer, which does provide me with more feedbacks, but then when it's in normal mode, it is so much more confortable than my STi.  The sport button change the throttle response, which make your car feels faster.., I can't say it's good to have it on all the time, but it makes the car more fun to drive with it on as well.  I tested with PSM off (Porsche Stability Managerment) this morning taking a slow speed corner which I do with my STi daily.  Finally, I can gain back the fun from my STi, which allows the back ends to losen a little.

Honestly speaking, I am not a good enough driver to share like those who track & autoX their cars monthly or at least few times a year.  But those are my experiences so far..!  And I plan on putting out a mini review once I get to know my car a little more.

how much is the used C4S? thought you said you're trading in your STI??
You should try the new PDK b ...

Yes, I don't mind at all.  I rather we have more LYK actively talking & sharing...!
Now back to my own topic.
I m not a car expert like many of you are, and speed is not the only factor I look at.  It all about driving experience, and to be able to enjoy driving it each time I enter into the car.  The C4S works for me.
For total performance, I can easily spend another $10-$15K on my STi, and turn it into a AWD beast.  Don't forget that I already had good aftermarket suspension on it.  But no matter what I do, I can't turn my STi into a convertible.  So, in order for me to find AWD, Convertible, 4 seated with relatively good performance (Handling, but not just), I think the C4S has it all.

Now, back to the PDK vs 6-speed.  I kind of know what to expect on the PDK, cuz my wife RDX has paddle shift, and I have been in my friend's Ferrari with F1 2 years ago.  It's not so much about speed, but it's too video game feels.  Driving a stick is all about perfecting my shifting, and heel-toe, rev match.  it's the involvement in driving.  I know I will have more fun driving a 200HP stick than a 400HP auto.  So, no GT-R for me.
It's true that I do get the bonus here in Seattle, where I do get to have alot more fun driving , instead of getting stunk in traffic.  I actually have a good mix of Hwy speed, on/off ramp, local roads with some twisty + up/down hills in my 30 mins driving To & From work.

Like I said before, I know I will eventually have a car that would be using some sort of advance auto tranny, but the time is not right now...!

My Wish:  I will have a daily drive stick or auto inexpensive fun car to drive, the 2nd would be a Ferrari with F1

Not sure if I am dead wrong.. but buying a relatively luxury car in North America is actually not that difficult...!  You just have to work hard, and not over spend...!

Average low level income is probably around $35,000-, if you would to save $750 a month for 5 years.  You have a saving of $45,000-

That's probably enough to lease/finance yourself many high performance used cars

If you start this at age of 24, you should archive your goal before 30 years old.

So, honestly speaking, you don't have to be rich to do so, just matter of priority.

I know I will stick with my Porsche with warranty only at this point.  MY CPO is going to offer me a good 2 years, then I'll make sure to pay $3-4K for extended warranty (3-4 years).

I don't quite know how much it is for service.., but I know tires will cost me a lot...!  I am expecting it will cost me 2x as much than my STi.  Afterall, I spent so much on my STi tires, and aftermarket parts...  Since I won't be mod. the Porsche, I think I am pretty safe in the area..!
Honestly, I kind of lost track on how inexpensive it is to service some cheaper cars.... !  My wife RDX is still service at the dealership, and it's does cost about $250ish each time.  My Subaru cost about $200 average as well, and that excluding bring my own Amsoil oil and filter which is close to $100 in expenses.
A side note.  My trade-in my Subaru knowing that I need a new clutch works, which will cost me about $1.6K, then I'll be doing my 60,000miles service probably next year.., I take that as a saving picking up my Porsche.. (My excuse to my wife haha)

Hey cool down guys.. or gals....!
I really doesn't matter what we drive, and what we do, being a better person is far more than that..!  I know I can't stop this from happening on a public forums.., but I do get tire seeing all these name calling.  It was alright at first... but it gets old pretty quick...!

As for Lik, you comparison with a Porsche to other performance cars or Cayman, does seem to show your lag of personal experience with these performance cars.  It's like I can tell you how great Kobe beef is all day long, but it still impossible for you to get it until you actually try it first hand...!

BTW, Cooperfield, don't forget I had a 99 Miata (and my best friend had a Miata for a couple of years too).  We love Miata, and they are some of the best japanese handling car available which are very capable for racing.  Check out some of the spec Miata racing here in the US.  It's actually very fun to drive a Miata because of it low weight, smaller size.  You can toss it around like no tomorrow, and it's very forgiving, and easy to drive..!  And it is very very cheap to keep up the maintain. with them.
