On so many levels, this piece of news should be far more important than the sex photo scandals. But of course, the level of interest in these matters doesn't even compare...

You are so high-class. All the other people are of "lower talent" than you are and therefore are not interested in these things.

Your mockery is not working, Peter-John. Go back to grade school and learn how to inch people properly.

And while we're at it, I'd like to ask why you don't actually have anything to say to defend t ...

You little anti-China kid, many people said the guy was not a spy at all and therefore should have been released long time ago.

Given his background, it is ludicruous to consider that he would do anything remotely related to treason. Now, would he do something that might piss off the Communist Government? That's an entirely d ...

But he did receive some money from some Taiwanese organizations.

Come on, Chunsh. I thought you're smarter than that. How is HK not ruined after the 1997 handover? First the economy turned into a big pile of shxt. And now the political system has turned into an ev ...

Traum, you stupidty has disappointed me again. With all your talent, I expected a lot more from you. HK went into economic problems after 1997 because of the Asian financial crisis and the bubble economy that your British masters created before the handover. Now the British themselves have another banking problem involving the nationalization of Northern Rock which is a bank in bankruptcy.  It seems that the British are good at creating financial crap. After all you are just a silly pro-British clown.

The AFC affected the entire Asia-Pacific region, but HK remained dead last in recovering from it because of its steadfast refusal to drop the US exchange rate monetary policy. And guess who was pullin ...

That's total crap, you little pro-British idiot. Maybe you should take a few more courses like Economics 101 and Finance 101. Many other Asian countries had a much more diversified economy than HK. South Korea had car industry and ship building. Taiwan, South Korea and Singapore had a lot more high-tech industries, electronics, and computer-related industries than HK. Therefore they recovered faster than HK. You should be able to see that your British masters did little to develop HK's economy and to maintain the stability of the economy before 1997, besides a bubble in the stock market.

LOL~ Your argument is so irrational that it's funny. I wasn't expecting HK to be the first in the region to recover from the AFC. But when EVERY OTHER CITY / COUNTRY IN THE REGION made their recoveri ...

You little pro-British moron. HK just did not have the high-tech exports that the other Asian countries had. These countries exported a lot of tech products to the world right before the Y2K rush. The British did nothing to develop HK's high-tech industry and created some very large bubbles in the stock market and land prices, way larger than what the other Asian countries had. When HK people could no longer flip real estate for profit, that was why HK took longer to grow again. The British did a crappy job in developing HK's modern economy.

Today, with the support of China, HK is now one of the fastest growing economy in Asia.
