As seen above, there is such a thing as ugliness and there are various degrees of it as well, but this is the result of their actions and circumstance.
楊沛宜 will now be growing up listening to adults, telling her that her glory was stolen and that she was not pretty enough. How would this change her thinking, and would she become truly ugly with acts of self-destruction? If her parents are sane, I hope that she would be raised according to her talents and let her carry on as a person of talents.

I see your point there, but I still don't see such a thing called "ugly kid". Even kids are born with defects & they may not look as good as the others, they're so innocent & naive that I will never name-calling them "ugly kids". |
