I believe 6.4 will not be forgotten. However, I also believe is will take at least another 30 years (or more) before the truth will be released and people can make a more objective judgement on the incidence since people will be less emotionally attached to it and more information will be available.

Why? It is just a general political practice. How many national secrets were classified by the US government and its courts to be kept secret for 50 years or more?

If the military action were necessary and the political decision  were appropriate,
and really supported by the public, the CCP would boast and celebrate with people.

History will not be forgotten. Do you know why that any history textbook normally will not include any political topic happened within 50 years?

Why? There are so many witness both local Chinese people and foreign reporters (at least the PLA themselves are the witness). In addition, other sources are available as well but not yet to be released. For example, pictures taken by US’s military satellite (it must be much clearer than Google Earth).
