It's not that cheaper compare to Canada. For the troubles you might get into, might as well get one from Canada. Since Apple store has them in stock in the morning, you can try to order online and see if they will have one available in the store.

If you buy in US, you have to pay WA state tax @ 8-8.5% and you still have to declare it to custom if you come back.

Warranty is honored globally where Apple is authorized to trade, except China and Korea.

If you are buying from a national retailers like Walmart, Target, Apple, Amazon, etc which has establishment is all the states, you need to pay state taxes.
