It's difficult to "feel" the car if you don't know how to. I think it's best to find a friend who drives a Fit or someone who knows cars mechanically to be with you and test drive it.

If you are out of options, you can go to any Honda dealer to test drive a new one. That way, you know how a Fit will sound, feel like when you are doing what Lik suggested.

What kind of car you are coming from? The reason I ask is, say if you are used to a V6, all I4 cars feels crappy because you are used to the extra torque etc...
