Those who download it off BT, please make sure you scan the image before installing because there is a malware/trojan in the BT release.

I have the official release from MSDN and I find it slower compare to the pre-RC 7077.

Let's hope that they can fix some minor issues (almost perfect) in the next RC.

Those who want to install Windows 7, please do it on a blank machine. You then should not have any issues.

I love Windows 7 more than XP/Vista and Leopard!!

Price is not out yet, but expect to the about the same as Vista.

Just get OEM...

I installed Windows 7 on a laptop, which comes with pretty standard hardware, Windows 7 recognized them without any issues. (Intel video, SigmaTel, Realtek Sound)

6-7 hours? On ADSL??

I got it from MSDN too and I guess my Shaw connection took less than 1 hour @ 1.00 MBps

I find that the public RC build 7100 has some performance issues. I am using 7127 and the problem is gone.

I am getting 7231 now... there should be one more build before RTM.

There is no point in getting 7260 (RTM) because RC and beta keys are most likely won't work. I am downloading 7260 ISO now and will install tomorrow night and let you all know result.

Installed 7260 last night, and everything is smooth. It accepts RC/Beta key.

The difference I see is, the wallpaper is changed from the fish to Windows logo.

What program do you use to burn? I use IMGBurn and it works all the time.

7600 is the final RTM is signing off TODAY! That will be available on TechNet hopefully on 16-17.

Because MS says RTM will be finalized in July, the last build is 7260.. Obviously 7260 to 7600 would be associated with RTM. Since it is not posted on TechNet at all, all I can say is... I will have to wait and see as the x86 version is not out yet. My test unit does not run x64 at this point. If it takes the RC key, then great, we have another RC.
