The UNO service is just like the T-Mobile HotSpot service with a tweak.
In the US, T-Mobile has their own HotSpot in basically everywhere. From StarBucks, malls and gas station. The idea is very similar to the old PCS service in HK. When people see the "sign", they know they get phone service.
Unless Rogers has similar infrastructure in Canada, I doubt UNO will work.
Rogers now has ADSL and Landline, it might be a good alternative to Telus.
