Just call them and choose to cancel the service, you can then ask for the retention plan which should get you phone, Internet, TV with Fridge and HD for the same price that you are paying now.

I am on the retention plan and I like it so far, especially with the free PVR.

I think mine is better because I get a free PVR and HD (still I don't watch that much TV), nonetheless, Shaw basically is giving you the same package as you are now, and throw in the phone service for free, which I find the phone service is the same if not better than Telus and the local LD companies. At least my calls to HK are no longer lag like walkie talkie style

$69 is very good. Probably lowest of all.

Here's the bill that I just received as attached.

So I am still paying about $75 a month less all the LD calls to HK.

I want to add that Shaw's HD PVRs are really shxt, DO NOT buy it, just rent!!. The reason why I am saying that is that I have access to all of the models and majority of them have problems. The older Moto 3416/6416 lags 1 sec (minimum) when browsing through menus, the current Pace 775/758 are fast, but it has a higher than usual fail rate (based on complaints/returns), the new one Moto DCX3400 so far so good (released in June).

Shaw disables most of the extra ports in the back via software, so don't expect to be able to use those ports for anything else (like export recorded stuff to a PC...)

My plan is that if my PVR is free for a year, I can simply call and moan about how "shxt" the PVR is and see what they will offer.
