Try Asus, easiest to setup because you don't need any software.

I am using RT-N12 as a repeater and am looking to buy the RT-N66 as main router soon.

I would not get the RT-N10 because the spec is too low.

Those ping time is still bad, is it on an ethernet connection direct from the modem?

You can call Shaw and they can remote ping your modem and tell you the noise level.

I avoid using the term "network cable" and always say ethernet or CAT5 because many people will confuse it with coaxial, USB cable with that name... sigh... At least CAT5 or Ethernet is clearly printed on the cable so if people can't read it, it's not my problem.

100ms is slow, it looks like ping from the internet.

Internal should be about 32ms.

Usually you need to eliminate the unknown, replace the router and cable and test again.
