iPhone 4 has a design flaw - the antenna. It's a hardware fault, no software can fix it.

If US has problem with reception, Canada will not be any better.

I don't remember Appleactively recalling anything, the following are recent major repair extensions:

- iMac G5 power issue (logic board and PSU)
- 2006 to 2008 Macbook batteries
- Macbook Pro w/ nVidia 8600M GT (logic board)
- White+Black Macbook cracking (top case and LCD bezel)
- 2006-2007 Macbook hard drives
- Time Capsule

All of the above are fixed on failure and is effective from 3 years from date of purchase.
