The tulip festival reminds me of a trip a took last year to Harrison in the Fall.

The circle farm tour in Agassiz. These are not real tours but just little maps and listing of things you can do in the area.
We went to:
Limbert Mountain Farm
We walked around the farm and I got some herbs and fresh free range eggs. (got 2 blue ones!) We had a good chat with the lady owner. Too bad that was a Monday and their cafe/tea shop wasn't open.
Canadian Hazelnuts
Got some hazelnuts as gifts for friends. This one is very small but worth a 15 min stop to see hazelnut trees and taste some interesting roast nuts.
The Farm House Natural Cheeses
Took a lot of pictures of their red little house (or red roof... I can't remember) and look at a donkey at the front. Bought some cheese too. But I like the cheese from saltspring island and kelowna more.
So if you are planning to see tulip in the Valley, you can stop by these locations as well. And the circle farm site has suggestions for other areas. |
