Soup Cooking Contest for Fall 2011
Many of you have asked us what kinds of alternatives there are for shark fin soup -- we are pleased to announce that this fall, we will begin a new tradition to help answer that question. On May 7, Vancouver Foundation awarded Shark Truth with a grant from Generation Green for $12, 500, which will be used to create our next project - a soup cooking contest! It's going to be an Iron-chef style showdown where chefs showcase their creativity and talent by creating shark-fin alternatives. Their dishes will help usher in a new wave of shark-free soups banquets for weddings, baby showers and anniversaries.
